and other scholarship funds designated by our donors. Scholarships can encourage women and people of color to enter professions they may not have considered, building equity. As these funds grow, we can award more scholarships so more students can achieve the education and training they desire to pursue their dreams. Support raised through the 2021 event will support students pursuing careers as first responders.

Imagine a future in which every citizen, regardless of where they live, can be trained for a job that will give them what they need to care for their family. That is the aspiration of the Tri-C Foundation. We are working to ensure that Tri-C has the resources needed to help every student learn, thrive and succeed and to create a prosperous community for all of us. By providing students with the skills they need to succeed, we can uplift our entire region, one family at a time.

For more information on the Presidential Scholarship Luncheon, or to contribute to the Cuyahoga Community College Foundation, call 216-987-4868 or visit www.tri-c.edu/psl.

The Tri-C Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization founded in 1973.

Presidential Scholarship Luncheon

The Cuyahoga Community College Foundation mission is to provide resources for advancing student success at Cuyahoga Community College and to transform the lives of those Tri-C serves. Thanks to partnership with generous donors, we continue to make a transformative difference in our community, now and in the future.

The annual Presidential Scholarship Luncheon is one important way Tri-C Foundation and our philanthropic partners raise critically needed scholarship funds for Tri-C students. This longstanding premier event brings together members of the community to hear a dynamic keynote speaker, and showcase Tri-C, our students and our mission. This event helps to grow resources for our students who need scholarships to pursue their education.

We look forward to once again welcoming capacity audiences of 1,000-plus guests. The move to a virtual presentation in 2021 will preserve the impressive tradition our guests enjoy at every Presidential Scholarship Luncheon. Since inception in 1992, the event has raised nearly $21 million in proceeds that grow scholarship opportunities for students.

The annual net proceeds from the Luncheon have been distributed to numerous Tri-C Foundation scholarship funds: First responder scholarship programs, First Generation Scholarship Fund, Presidential Scholarship Fund, Gap Scholarship Fund, Veterans Scholarship Fund
