NDMC Chairman inaugurates Modern TreePruning Machine

New Delhi – July 1, 2016

In order to enhance the maintenance efficiency of Horticulture staff by using mechanical equipments in the working of garden and parks, New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) added three new mechanical facilities with latest technology to prune trees up to the height of 30 feets. Another three of such machines are likely to be commissioned shortly.

NDMC commissioned three tree pruning machine

withSelf Propelled Hydraulically Operated Hoisting Equipment for pruning and better maintenance of trees at Nehru Park in New Delhi today.

Speaking after inaugurating the pruning machines, the

Chairman, NDMC said that there is a 48 percent green cover in New Delhi area having lacs trees and many of them need pruning. These machines will help to take care of pruning will be useful for maintenance of street light poles.

He further said that the machine is designed for various

applications like road side/garden tree trimming, maintenance/repair of street lights, white washing, painting, maintenance and cleaning of tall government buildings/ facilities within the operating till height.

Besides, MLA & Member Shri Surender Singh, Council

Members Shri Abdul Rasheed Ansari and Shri B.S.Bhati, Secretary, NDMC and other Senior Officers of NDMC were present on the occasion.
