The Works on Paper Fair has supported The National Open Art Competition (NOA) as a partner for five years, and the directors have selected twenty NOA works from the 2014 competition to be shown at the fair. These works have been created using a variety of different mediums, such as photography, engraving, and drawing, by a range of UK-based artists. Many of the NOA works are affordable, with prices starting at around £200, offering the perfect chance to build up a contemporary art collection.

The National Open Art Competition was founded by The Duke of Richmond in 1995, and is administrated by not for profit the charity, the Chichester Art Trust. NOA aim to promote the work of contemporary artists, by hosting exhibitions throughout the UK for upcoming talent.

Brian Sewell, an NOA judge, has said of the competition:

“For established artists, it provides the opportunity to exhibit between group and one man shows. For the young it is a stepping-stone. No serious working artist should ignore it”
