CASH STOLEN BY SERVANT FOR CHANGING SEX

With the arrest of one Anas Khan S/o Javed Khan R/o D-1/1, Hasthal Vihar New Delhi, Janakpuri police station has solved the case of theft committed by the servant for changing his sex. Stolen amount of Rs.65000/- has been recovered from him.NAME AND PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED PERSON

Anas Khan S/o Javed Khand R/o D-1/1 Hasthal Vihar near Rohini Chowk, Delhi- age 24 years. He has passed 12th class. His mother and father are doing embroidery work and his brother is doing job in Goa.

RECOVERIE MADE

1. Rs. 65000/- cash.

INCIDENT

On 06.09.11, one Virender Mohan owner of Chemical Company at Rohini has filed a complaint that his employee Anas Khan was given Rs.2 Lacs to deliver at Karol Bagh . He was dropped at Janakpuri Distt Center Metro Station and asked him to deliver at Karol Bagh but he did not reach there. The complainant alleged that he ran away with the said amount. Accordingly a case vide FIR No.288/11 dated 06.09.11 was registered in the police station u/s 408 IPC. TEAM AND INVESTIGATION

As there was no clue of the whereabouts of Anas Khan , immediately a Team comprising SI Sikandar Rai, SI Sukhbir Singh, HC.Rajbir, Ct. Sudhir and Ct. Kuldeep Singh headed by Sh. Rajender Pathania SHO/Janakpuri under the close supervision of Dr.R.G.Naik ACP/V.Puri was constituted. Sources were deployed and raids were conducted at different places at Delhi. Help of technical surveillance was also taken. Informers were also deputed and finally it was found that he was in Delhi only and with the best of efforts by the team, he was arrested from Baljeet Nagar and Rs. 65000/- were recovered from his possession. During interrogation of accused he disclosed that he had stolen money to get him operated for implantation of silicon breast as a first step to change his sex. After committing theft of Rs. 2 lacs he deposited one lacs at Jenecis Wellness Clinic private Ltd at 6/15 East Patel Nagar New Delhi having its branches at Rajouri Garden and Malviya Nagar for operation. He was not having enough money but he got the opportunity when he was given Rs. 2 Lacs for delivery at Karol Bagh. He Paid Rs. One Lac for the above operation but he was arrested by the staff of police station Janakpuri prior to the operation.

Further investigation to reveal more facts are under its way to recover the remaining amount.

Staff involved in good work is being rewarded suitably.

GANG OF THIEVES BUSTED

The staff of Police Station Punjabi Bagh, West District has arrested two thieves namely Eklakh Ahmed @ Iqbal Khan, Mohd. Shakil Ahmed and Gulshan Kumar and one receiver of stolen property. With their arrest, a case of theft of one tempo loaded of 300 cement bags has been solved.

INCIDENT,TEAM AND ARREST

On the complaint of Brij Lal S/o Shripal R/o Cement Siding Near Guddu Tyre Wala, Shakur Basti, Delhi a case was registered vide FIR No. 275/11 Dated 12/9/11 u/s 379 IPC PS Punjabi Bagh in which he alleged that he is working as a driver and on the intervening night of 11-12/9/11 his tempo No. HR55B-7223 was loaded of 300 cement bags he parked his vehicle in the Cement Siding when he got down for some work, three persons pushed him and drove away his tempo and they fled away with the loaded tempo and his two mobile phones which was lying on the driver seat. A special team comprising of SI Manohar Lal, PSI Sandeep Dabas & HC Bijender Singh No. 1653/W headed by Inspr. HSP Singh, SHO/Punjabi Bagh and overall supervision of Shri Satish Yadav, ACP/Punjabi Bagh was formed. The team so formed worked relentlessly and collected details of several criminals with similar modus operandi and activated their secret informers to collect the information about the gangs involved in such theft cases.

The team took the help of the electronic surveillance and zeroed down on a phone call dialed from the complainant’s phone after incident. With the help of electronic surveillance, the two accused persons namely Eklakh Ahmed @ Iqbal Khan and Mohd.

Shakil Ahmed were arrested and the stolen tempo was recovered with 84 cement bags from the area of Shakurpur and the remaining cement bags also got recovered with the arrest one building material supplier namely Gulshan Kumar s/o Bihari Lal r/o 223/8 Govind Puri, Delhi.

INTERROGATION

On thorough interrogation, the accused persons disclosed that they both have been working as drivers in cement siding since many years and earlier also they were involved in petty thefts of cement from cement siding, Punjabi Bagh and thus they found an easy way to make money. On the intervening night they had stolen the tempo loaded with 300 cement bags and went to their known supplier namely Gulshan and sold him the cement bags on lower rate.

Staff involved in good work is being rewarded suitably.

The East District police has arrested a gang of robbers and the mastermind behind the gangs and has worked out two cases of robbery vide FIR Nos 192/11, dt. 08.08.11, u/s 393/397/34 IPC and 25 Arms Act, PS Mayur Vihar & 260/11, dt. 25.08.11, u/s 302/394/397/34 IPC & 25 Arms Act, PS Pandav Nagar.

Two incidents of robbery were reported in the month of August wherein four or more persons on two motorcycles had either robbed and killed, or had attempted to rob business persons of their valuables.

In the first incident which was reported on 08.08.2011, four persons reportedly on two motorcycles had tried to rob Deepak Mittal & Kapil Mittal who had come to deposit around Rs. 50 lakhs in cash at Bank of India located in Mayur Vihar-I, Delhi. The robbers, however, could not succeed in their game plan as they were resisted gallantly by the two brothers and were forced to flee the scene of incident by leaving behind a Bajaj Discover motorcycle ( Registration No. HR-51-AC-1382) and a country made weapon.

In the second incident Rajnish Goyal was shot and killed during robbery in the area of PS Pandav Nagar at Gali No. 7, Pratap Nagar, Delhi on 25.08.2011 at 9.30 PM by four persons who were reportedly riding on two motorcycles.

Sensing the seriousness of the situation, a special team was constituted in the AATS Unit of East District under the leadership of Inspr. V. N. Jha. The AATS Team and another team constituted at PS Pandav Nagar worked tirelessly for three weeks and ultimately succeeded to arrest the following persons:

who have since confessed their involvement in master minding and executing the two incidents narrated above.

INTERROGATION

1. Interrogation of the accused persons has revealed that Mahender Kumar Gupta, s/o late Sh. Yash Pal Gupta, r/o A-9, Shikhar Apartment, Mayur Vihar, Phase –I, Delhi had master-minded both robberies with the belief that the two incidents would yield large amounts of cash and jewellery, Mahender Gupta incidentally know both the victims and their routine, destination, movements, etc. He ropped in seven offenders namely:

to execute the crimes which were planned meticulously but went horribly wrong. Mahender Gupta knew that both brothers who were dealers of “Ashirvad Atta” and who carried a large amount of cash from their home to their bankers in Myaur Vihar on Mondays. Accordingly he advised Raju, Noor Mohd. @ Nuru, Afjal, Mustaq, Jamal to rob the Mittal brothers while they were unloading the cash from their vehicles for transporting it into the bank. The plan, however, did not work and attempt at robbery/dacoity was resisted by the Mittals thereby forcing accused persons to flee the scene of crime in hiring by leaving behind motorcycle and a country made weapon. Mahender Gupta sought to compensate himself and his partners in crime by conceiving the planning and execution of robbery/dacoity of late Rajnish Goyal, a jeweler by profession who incidentally was related to Mahender Gupta and who had his business establishment in the same market complex as that of Mahender Kumar Gupta. This incident was executed by Shahjad @ Sikku, Noor Mohd. @ Nuru, Raju, Rahul, Afjal, Mustaq. The incident, however, did not go as planned and Rajnish Goyal was shot dead by Shahjad @ Sikku & Noor Mohd. @ Nuru when he resisted the attempt by the assailants to snatch the bag containing valuables and documents which was being carried by him.

PROFILE

1. Noor Mohd. @ Nuru s/o Late Sanul r/o Village Lilla Roza, Jhinjhana, District Muzaffar Nagar, UP, age 39 years, a carpenter by profession. In the year 2005 he along with his associates Afzal, Badar, Sabir and Taslim robbed a truck carrying sugar bags from Shamli. He was arrested in the police station Jhinjhana in case FIR No.64/05, u/s 395/397/412/120B IPC, PS Adarsh Mandi, Muzaffar Nagar (U.P.). He was convicted for 10 years RI in the said case in July,2011. He alongwith his associates Afzal are absconding in this case despite the conviction.

He alongwith his brother Mustaq @ Islam stole jewelleries and cash from a house in Greater Noida by drugging the house lady while both of them were engaged in the said house for carpenter work. A case was registered vide FIR No. 257/11, dt. 13.05.11, u/s 380 IPC, PS Kasna, Gautam Budh Nagar, UP.

2. Shahjad @ Sikku s/o Naushad Qureshi r/o 12/80, Trilok Puri, Delhi. He has criminal history and previously involved in seven cases of dacoity, preparation of dacoity, robbery etc. He has been convicted in the case of preparation of dacoity and now released on bail. Raju Chandolia s/o Late Rajpal r/o H. No. 212/213, 28-Block, Trilok Puri, Delhi. Age 27 yrs ( used to work as a Munim with a Satta Operator of Trilokpuri)

3. Rahul s/o Balkishan r/o 14/238, Trilok Puri, Delhi, age- 19 years works with a interior decorator in Dilshad Garden.

4. Mahender Kumar Gupta, s/o late Sh. Yash Pal Gupta, r/o A-9, Shikhar Apartment, Mayur Vihar, Phase –I, Delhi( a distributor of Bharti Airtel).

5. Afjal s/o Iqbal r/o Village Lilla Roza, Jhinjhana, District Muzaffar Nagar, UP (co-accused and convicted in the robbery case of Jhinjhana, UP.

6. Mustaq @ Islam s/o Late Sanul r/o Village Lilla Roza, Jhinjhana, District Muzaffar Nagar, UP. He is the younger brother of Noor Mohd.

7. Jamal r/o Kairana, Muzaffar Nagar, UP (wanted in Pandav Nagar & Mayur Vihar Case).

GANG OF DESPERATE ROBBERS/AUTO LIFTERS BUSTED : 4 ACCUSED ARRESTED AND 3 STOLEN VEHICLES RECOVERED

With the arrest of accused Vijay (22 years) s/o Dilbar Singh r/o VPO Kandgowal Tikker, PS Baijnath, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh, Amar Singh (24 years) s/o Donku Ram r/o VPO Deol, PS Baijnath, District Kangra, HP, Ashok Kumar (24 years) s/o Kashmir Singh r/o VPO Kandgowal Tikker, PS Baijnath, District Kangra, Himachal Pradesh and Devnaish @ Dinesh (26 years) s/o Ramu Manjhi r/o Village Sadhu Munda PS Lanjhiwarna, District Sundergarh, Orissa, staff of PS Saket, South District busted a gang of desperate robbers and autolifters and recovered 2 stolen cars and a motorcycle.

INCIDENT:

On 31-8-11, a police team consisting of Inspr. Dharam Dev, SI Arvind, ASI Anand, HCs Satender, Vinod, Tara Chand, Ajit, Rajender, Balbir, Consts B.B. Suresh, Umesh, Prakash and W/Ct. Lalita under the supervision of Inspr. Rajender Singh, SHO/Saket were conducting patrolling in the area. When the patrolling party reached at service road, Lado Sarai near DDA Park, they spotted a Toyota Fortuner Car No. DL 3CBD 6766 parked at the service road. On suspicion, the patrolling staff moved towards the car. Meanwhile, on seeing the police party, four persons came out of the car and started running but the alert police staff apprehended all of them after a minor chase. They were identified as Vijay, Amar Singh, Ashok Kumar and Devnaish @ Dinesh. On enquiry, they disclosed that they had stolen the vehicle from the area of S.J. Enclave. On search, fake numbers plates, RC and Insurance Cover Note were recovered from the car. Accordingly, all accused were arrested and a case vide FIR No. 283/11 u/s 411/482/34 IPC PS Saket was registered and investigation taken up. INVESTIGATION :

During the course of investigation, it revealed that Fortuner Car had been stolen from the area of PS Safdarjung Enclave when the driver of a lawyer was washing the car, outside the house and accused took away the car when he turned around within a minute time. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 221/011 u/s 379 IPC PS S.J. Enclave was registered. At the instance of accused persons, two more stolen vehicle were also recovered from different places.

INTERROGATION:

On sustained interrogation, accused confessed their involvements in more than 11 cases of robbery / auto lifting. Accused disclosed that they have nicknamed their gang as “Kangra Gang”. They used to steal

luxury cars from South Delhi area and dispose off the same in Channai to a notorious receiver namely “Murugun”. They further disclosed that they used to roam in the locality, preferably in the morning and picks up the car when being washed in the morning at roadside, by diverting the attention of the washing boy. They used to target Innova Cars as they are in good demands in Chennai and earn handsome amount. So far they have sent around 20 such cars to Chennai, stolen from the areas of Lodhi Colony, Defence Colony, Nijamuddin, Hauz Khas, Safdarjung Enclave, Sarojini Nagar, etc.

Accused further disclosed that on being arrested, they would manage to get release on bail on the basis of bogus surety and would again indulge in such nefarious activities. Earlier, they have also been arrested for furnishing bogus surety in the court. Presently, they were residing in a rented housed in Kishangarh, Vasant Kunj and used to visit Gym and nearby Malls to shop and spend the looted money. A team has already been dispatched to develop intelligence regarding their whereabouts and network of car receivers working for Murugun in Chennai. Further investigation is in progress and efforts are on to make further recoveries and to connect the recovered phone from the incidents which they have committed.

RECOVERY:

ACCUSED VISITED SAKET COURT TO FACE TRIAL IN A THEFT CASE COMMITTED THEFT ARRESTED AND STOLEN ARTICLES RECOVERED

With the arrest of accused Jagdish @ Jaggi (30 years) s/o Shyam Sharam r/o 728/8, Daya Nand Nagar, Bahadurgarh, District Jhajjar, Haryana staff of PS Saket, South District has solved a recent case of theft, committed in the Saket Court Complex and recovered stolen articles. BRIEF FACTS :

  On 12-9-11, complainant Sh. Manoj Kumar r/o 413, Tikri Village, Rohtak Road, Nangloi, New Delhi lodged a complaint that he had visited Court No. 208, Saket Court, New Delhi to attend the hearing in a case. When he came out, he found that his bag was opened and his purse containing Election Card, 3 ATM cards, cash Rs. 2100/-, Identity Cards, RC etc, had been stolen. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 298/11 u/s 379 IPC PS Saket was registered and investigation taken up.INVESTIGATION :

 In order to apprehend the culprits active in the court complex and indulged in such criminal activities, a team consisting of SI Jitender Kashyap, ASI Jaipal Singh, HC Narender Singh, Cts. Narender Singh, Shiv Kumar under the supervision of Inspr. Rajender Singh, SHO/Saket was constituted. During the course of investigation, CCTV footages of that day were minutely analyzed and two persons were identified, who were stealing the purse from the bag of complainant. The cause list of Court No. 208 was also analyzed and identity of both the accused established as Jagdish @ Jaggi s/o Shyam Sharam r/o 728/8, Daya Nand Nagar, Bahadurgarh, Haryana and Deepak @ Deep, who had come to the court to face the trial in case FIR No. 618/07 u/s 379/411 IPC PS R. K. Puram.

Immediately, a raid was conducted at the houses of both accused and apprehended accused Jagdish @ Jaggi but accused Deepak was found absconding. At the instance of accused, stolen cash Rs. 1000/- cash, two ATM cards, one card of Metro, one shopping-cum-discount card of the complainant were recovered. Further investigation is on to located absconding accused Deepak, who is previously involved in more than 12 criminal cases of Delhi and Haryana.

ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATION ENGINEER ARRESTED IN A RAPE / CHEATING CASE

With the arrest of accused Mohd. Sirajuddin Ahmed (32 years) s/o Mohd. Mujataba Ahmed r/o H. No. 17-1-181/M/201, Shri Nagar Colony, Santosh Nagar, PS Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad, staff of PS Mehrauli, South District has worked out a case of rape and cheating registered at PS Mehrauli. INCIDENT :

On 18.08.11, the complainant Ms Rita (name Changed) r/o Mehrauli alleged that Mohd. Sirajuddin Ahmed s/o Mohd. Mujataba Ahmad r/o H. No. 17-1-181/M/201, Shri Nagar Colony, Santosh Nagar, PS Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad, Director of Prince Educational Society, having office at 172, EWSH-379, Ist Floor, Near Yadgiri Theatre, Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad had committed rape with her and cheated her of Rs. 2,50,000/- on the pretext of marry her in the month of January-February, 2011, who came in her contact through shaadi.com. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 370/11 dated 18.08.11 u/s 376/420 IPC PS Mehrauli was registered and investigation taken up.INVESTIGATION :

During the course of investigation, a team comprising SI Shivdev Singh, HC Mukesh and HC Abhay Raj headed by Inspr. Pankaj Singh, SHO/Mehrauli under the close supervision of Sh. Rajender Singh, ACP, Mehrauli was constituted to trace the accused and recover the cheated money.

During investigation, it revealed that the complainant knew only the name of accused. Neither she had photograph of accused nor did she had residential address of accused. Subsequently, the above team was dispatched to Hyderabad to nab the accused from his office at Prince Educational Society, 172, EWSH-379, Ist Floor, Near Yadgiri Theatre, Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad. The team found that the above premises had already been occupied by some other firm as the accused had already left that place 3 months ago. The team visited at the address on which his mobile phone was registered but the occupants of that house stated that he never heard this name.

Then, the team focused on EDI Bazar area of Old Hyderabad, where accused used to visit during night but there was no clue as the area was vast and densely populated. As the accused had never disclosed his bank account to the complainant, the team managed to obtain the bank account number of accused from some sources. Photographs of accused were obtained from bank, which were affixed on the application form but the same were quite old. Addresses mentioned on the application forms were verified and the same were also found fake. The team searched details of accused in Regional Passport Office, Road Transport Authorities, Voter List but no match to accused’s name and address was found.

As the team was regularly searching internet in order to find any clue about the accused, they noticed that an advertisement of Gold Cup T-20 Cricket Matches to be held in six cities in South India was organized by All India Charminar Sports Academy (AICSA), scheduled from 22nd September, 2011 and the telephone number given in advertisement matched with the accused’s previously held telephone numbers. On this, a local SIM Card was arranged and also a person having local language accent was arranged and a communication was made with accused by the team through that person as cricket team manager of three local cricket teams, who wants to take part in

the above mentioned tournament. Subsequently, accused agreed to meet with team. Accused was arrested when he came at designated place at 8.30 PM on 10-09-11 near Osmania Women College, Koti, Hyderabad. INTERROGATION :

On sustained interrogation, accused disclosed that he came in contact with complainant Ms. Rita (name changed) through Shadi.com. He called her to Bhopal and thereafter made physical relations with her on the pretext of marry her. He also came to Delhi and took her ATM Card and withdrew the money as alleged by the complainant. Thereafter, he refused to marry her and went to Hyderabad, his native place and changed his official address. PROFILE OF ACCUSED :

Accused Mohd. Sirajuddin Ahmed is permanent resident of Hydrabad. His father Mohd. Mustafa Ahmed was Inspector in Maharashtra Police. He also organizes cricket tournaments under the name of All India Charminar Sports Academy (AICSA) and charges heavy amount from the participants. At present, he is organizing Gold Cup T-20 Cricket Tournament, scheduled from 22nd September in six cities i.e Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mysore, Chennai, Kurnool and Aurangabad and expected 125 teams and about to collect Rs. 2 crores approximately as entry fees. HEROIN IS WORTH RS.1 CRORE AND 34 LACS IN THE INTERNATIONAL MARKET.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Rajesh Sharma and consisting of SI. Sunil, SI Shiv Darshan, ASI Harcharan, ASI Ajmer Singh, HC K. P. Singh, HC Jai Singh, W/HC Kamla, Ct. Atul, Ct. Suresh and Ct. Neeraj under the supervision of Addl. DCP Joy Tirkey have apprehended a woman drug trafficker and have recovered 1 Kg. of Heroin. The Heroin is worth Rs. 1 Crore in the International Market.

On 13/09/2011, information was received by HC K.P. Singh that a woman drug trafficker would come to deliver heroin to a contact near IT Park, Shastri Park Metro, Trans Yamuna, Delhi. On this information a trap was laid and Anita @ Ruby (aged 22 years) d/o Rekha r/o Gautam Puri, Delhi was apprehended. One Kg. heroin was recovered from her possession. Case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered.

Anita @ Ruby was subjected to intensive interrogation. It was revealed that her mother is also a drug trafficker and has been arrested twice in the year 2007 and 2009 for drug trafficking in Delhi. Anita supplies drugs to several receivers in the Trans Yamuna area. She is semi literate. She had been married four years ago and lived in Gorakhpur. However, her marriage fell through and she got separated from her husband. Since the past 6 months she in a live in relationship with her boyfriend. Anita assisted her mother in drug trafficking but since the past one year she branched out on her own. Her boyfriend is also a drug addict.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Vivek Pathak and consisting of SI Paramjeet Singh, HC Sanjeev Kumar, HC Subhash Singh and HC Braham Dev under the supervision of ACP Bir Singh and overall supervision of Addl. DCP Sanjay Bhatia have apprehended a drug trafficker and have recovered 340 Gram heroin.

On 13/09/2011 information was received by SI Paramjeet Singh that a drug trafficker would be coming to Nand Nagri Crossing. On this information, a trap was laid and Himmat Ali (aged 40 years) s/o Riyayat Ali r/o Distt. Bareilly, UP and presently residing in Nand Nagri, Trans Yamuna, Delhi was apprehended. 340 Gram Heroin was recovered from his possession. The recovered Heroin is worth Rs. 34 Lacs in International Market. A case under the appropriate sections of the NDPS Act was registered.

Himmat Ali was subjected to intensive interrogation. On interrogation he disclosed that he procured heroin from Bareilly, UP and sells it at Nang Nagri, Trans Yamuna, Delhi. Further investigation of the case is in progress.

Absconding accused in two sensational kidnapping cum murder cases of Delhi of the year 2010 apprehended.

A reward of Rs. 50,000/- had been declared for his arrest.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. K.P. Singh and consisting of SI P.C. Yadva, SI Rajinder Singh, ASI Ravinder Singh, ASI Ragender Singh, HC Narendra Godara, HC Vikal Singh, HC Yogender, HC Devender, HC Bijender and HC Naresh under the supervision of ACP O.P. Yadav and under the overall supervision of Addl. DCP Sanjay Bhatia have apprehended an absconding accused Mukesh Kumar r/o Kashi Ram Nagar, UP. Mukesh was absconding in two sensational kidnapping-cum-murder cases of year, 2010, one of PS Vikas Puri and another of PS Dabri, Delhi. A reward of Rs.50,000/- had been declared for his arrest.

On 10/09/2010, student of a school in Sector-4, Dwarka was kidnapped and a case under the appropriate sections of the law was registered at PS Dabri. The father of the kidnapped child received ransom call of Rs. 1 Crore for securing release of his kidnapped son. Ransom calls were received from different parts of UP - Kashi Ram Nagar, Badaun, Bareilly and Pillibhit. In the meanwhile, on 30/09/2010 another boy student of B.Tech also went missing and a case of kidnapping was registered at PS Vikas Puri, Delhi. On 03/10/2010, the father of the missing boy also received a ransom call of Rs. 50 Lacs. Father of the missing boy paid the kidnappers Rs. 2.5 Lacs for the release of his son at Bareilly Rly. Station. But his son was not released.

Subsequently the cases were transferred to Crime Branch for investigations. Investigation at that time revealed that in both the cases the same set of persons were involved. 5 persons were apprehended. They were identified as i) Hari Singh (aged 44 years) s/o Ishwari r/o Badaun, UP, ii) Usman Khan @ Bunty (aged 22 years) s/o Shabuddin Khan, R/o Firojabad, UP, iii) Radhey Shyam (aged 32 years) s/o Pujari Lal r/o Badaun, UP, iv) Dinesh Kumar (aged 27 years) s/o Chhitar Singh r/o Kashi Ram Nagar, UP and v) Rahul Gupta (aged 19 years) s/o Raj Kumar Gupta r/o Sagar Pur, Delhi. Their apprehension revealed that the kidnappers had killed both the boys immediately after their abduction and disposed of their dead bodies in the jungles of UP. Mukesh Kumar was absconding in this case.

West Distt, the staff of PP Subroto Park, Dhaula Kuan were keeping a watch on the movement of suspicious persons in the area from terrorists point of view. On 12.9.2011 at about 7.30 PM a similar checking was conducted under the supervision of SI Satish Chander I/c PP Subroto Park, Dhaula Kuan, ASI Ashok Kumar, Const. Yugdutt and Const. Vikas. At Bus Stand Dhaula Kuan they noticed 3 persons standing suspiciously having a big shoulder bags with them. As soon as the trio saw the police personnel, they walked hurriedly towards Dhaula Kuan Metro Station. On this, the police team got more suspicious and smelt something fishy. They swiftly reached these suspicious persons and stopped them. When asked about their identity and their destination, they did not give any satisfactory reply. On this the police team searched their shoulder bags. On search, about 10 mobile phones (3 of NOKIA and 7 of other brands) one Video Camera, number of new ladies sarees and children apparels were found inside the bag. ENQUIRIES

When the police team did not get satisfactory reply, the trio was firmly asked about the source of procurement of the above mentioned mobile phones and video camera, but they had no answer. Initially, they tried to mislead the police team but on firm enquiries, one of them broke down. He told that all three are involved in cheating, particularly, labour class people hailing from Bihar. While Hardeep acts as a Railway Ticket Agent the other two i.e. Ram Bahadur Ram and Mahesh act as passengers/customers. As a large number of labourers from Bihar board trains from New Delhi Railway Station for various Districts in Bihar, the trio take them in confidence on the pretext of getting them confirmed railway tickets. Hardeep then took the new customers on the pretext of buying railway tickets at the Railway Counter and asked them to leave their bags/baggage with Ram Bahadur Ram and Mahesh who acted as passengers. As there is always a rush at the Railway Ticket counters at the Station, Hardeep taking advantage of the situation, disappeared from the scene. On the other hand, both Ram Bahadur Ram and Mahesh would also disappear from the spot taking the bag and baggage of the victims. The trio are residing in a rented accommodation in Usman Pur, North-East Delhi and originally hail from Sitamarhi, Bihar. They also disclosed that they had cheated and duped a large number of persons from various places in Delhi

GANG OF ROBBERS BUSTED

On the night intervening 12/13-9-2011, an incident of robbery took place near gate no. 6 Lodhi Garden, Amrita Shergil Marg in the area of P.S. Tughlak Road. Victim Mohd. Anwar r/o Nav Jeevan Camp, Govind Puri aged 30, reported that at about 12:30 AM, three male persons aged 25-30 hired his TSR from Red Fort for going to Lodhi Garden. At about 1 AM when he reached Lodhi Garden, all the three passenger instead of paying fare of Rs. 80, caught hold of him and robbed his mobile phone, purse containing documents, License & Rs. 650/- and fled away in the dark. On raising alarm local patrolling staff of P.S. Tughlak Road and PCR nabbed one of the robbers namely Santosh Rana r/o Pilanji, Kotla Mubarakpur, New Delhi. On this a case vide FIR No. 72/11 Dt. 13.9.2011 u/s 392/411/34 IPC was registered at P.S.

Tughlak Road and investigation was carried out by ASI Bal Raj under the close supervision of Insp. Ajay Gupta, Inspector Investigation and SHO/Tughlak Road.

After sustained interrogation accused Santosh revealed the names of his associates as Naveen & Raj. Later under the supervision of Insp. Ajay Gupta a team consisting of ASI Bal Raj, HC Ashok Gulia, Ct. Azad and Ct. Kuldeep was formed and extensive search of the remaining accused was carried out. On the basis of interrogation of accused Santosh and local intelligence, several raids were conducted at the possible hide outs of the accused persons and both the accused Naveen and Raj @ Raju were arrested from the area of Jamroodpur, Delhi and stolen property was recovered from their possession. 

All the three accused are Napali Nationals and are residing in Delhi for the last 8-10 years on rent. They have been working as casual labour at various restaurant/hotels and earlier worked as private drivers. At present they were unemployed and in order to earn quick money, they planned to rob TSR drivers being one of the soft target during night. In order to execute their plan they visited New Delhi/ Old Delhi Railway station but could not found any target. Later they spent time in Chandni Chowk area and then hired TSR from Red Fort at midnight. Since all the accused have earlier residing at Kotla Mubarakpur area and were aware about the topography of Lodhi Garden area so they selected the spot near Lodhi Garden for executing their plan. Further interrogation of the accused persons is in progress to find out their other involvements if any.

Gali No. 7, Village Sadarpur, Sec-45, Noida, UP, aged 38 years. Four cars including two luxury cars have been recovered from his possession/instance.

TEAM & INVESTIGATION:-

In order to prevent incidents of auto thefts in South East District, Special Staff of South East District was specially asked to look into the matter. In view of this, a team of Special Staff South East District was constituted under the leadership of Inspr. Akhilesh Yadav, Incharge Special Staff consisting of SIs Jatan Singh, P.K. Jha, ASI Bhagirath Prashad, HCs Anil Kumar, Jeet Singh, Satender, Constables Arun Kumar, Sunil, Rajiv, Brijpal, Sunil, Satish, Sachin, Anil, Deepak, Tekchand and Vinod under the supervision of Sh. Virender Kalia ACP/Ops. to develop intelligence regarding such gangs operating in the district. The team received some credible information regarding few criminals operating in Delhi and NCR. The information was further developed. On the basis of credible information, the above team apprehended one Vinod Kumar @ Dimple s/o Bihari Lal r/o H. No. 700, Gali No. 7, Village Sadarpur, Sec-44, Noida, UP, aged 38 years, in a Santro Car No.HR51AJ-5055 in front of Holy Family Hospital, when he was going towards Ashram. On checking of the car 35 duplicate keys of different vehicles, vehicle lock breaking implements, two number plates bearing No. UP14 AY 1280 and five broken car locks were recovered from the dickey of the car. He could not produce any ownership document of the said car. On enquiry, the Santro car was found stolen vide FIR No. 287/11, u/s 379 IPC, PS Sec-39, Noida and displayed number plate was found fake. Original number plate was already recovered from the car. Accused Vinod Kumar @ Dimple was arrested u/s 41.1 Cr.P.C.

INTERROGATION & MODUS OPERANDI

On sustained interrogation, accused Vinod Kumar @ Dimple disclosed that his father had expired when he was only 13 years old and at that time he was in 8th standard. After the death of his father he quit school and worked as an office-boy at a garment showroom at Paharganj. Few years later, he started working as a salesman and got Rs. 3000/- p.m. as salary. This salary was not enough for running his livelihood. So, he stepped into crime of auto lifting. For the first time he stole one Maruti 800 Car from the area of Paharganj and since then he has been continuously stealing car after car. First of all he used to remove the lock of petrol tank / dickey of the car and make duplicate key to open the steering lock of the car. After that he flew away with the stolen car. He used to dispose of the stolen cars in Nepal, Punjab, Meerut and North-Eastern States. In 2007, he was arrested by South District Police, after few months he was released on bail. Since then, he is continuously committing auto thefts preferably in day time. He has been residing in Noida for the last few years. After stealing the car, he used to park the stolen car in the parking of multi-storey buildings before going for its disposal.

With the arrest of accused Pratap Singh (32 years) s/o Bhawani Singh r/o 20/12, Kalyanpuri, Delhi, Jatin (25 years) s/o Raj Naresh r/o 1/20, Sainik Enclave, Gali No. 9, Mohan Garden, Uttam Nagar, New Delhi, Rohit Tyagi (24 years) s/o Jai Praksh Tyagi R/o I.I.T Place, Bangla Sahib Marg, New Delhi, Gopal @ Ajay (25 years) s/o Het Ram r/o 17/117, Trilok Puri, Delhi and Amit @ Budhi (25 years) r/o Trilok Puri, Delhi, staff of PS Hauz Khas, South District busted a gang of robbers and worked out a recent sensational case of robbery of Rs. 6 lacs and recovered stolen Honda City Car used in commission of crime and 2 motor cycles purchased from the robbed booty. INCIDENT / BRIEF FACTS :

 

On 04/07/11, the complainant Sh. Jile Ram r/o Kotla Mubarakpur, Delhi reported that he had taken Rs. 6 lacs from the chemist shop located in AIIMS Complex and left along with driver for depositing the same in their office located in K.M. Pur in Maruti Van No. DL-1LK-5473. When he reached at the loop of AIIMS flyover, a Honda City Car intercepted his van and four persons robbed off him Rs. 6 lacs at gun point. In this regard, a case vide FIR No. 234/2011 dated 04.07.11 u/s 392/34 IPC PS Hauz Khas was registered and investigation taken up.

In view of the gravity and nature of crime, several teams of PSs Hauz Khas, Mehrauli and AATS/SD under the leadership of Inspr. Kulbir Singh, SHO/Hauj Khas and overall supervision of Sh. Manishi Chandra, ACP/Hauj Khas were constituted and assigned them specific tasks to perform so that criminal could be identified and apprehended. The teams consisting of SI Balihar, HC Arvind, Ct Amit (AATS/SD), SI Ikpal, HC Ravinder, HC Satish, HC Satish, HC Ishwar, Ct. Akhilesh, Ct. Jitender, Ct Naresh, Ct. Krishan (PS Hauj Khas) and ASI Ravinder Tyagi & HC Naresh (PS Mehrauli) worked relentlessly and developed information about such active criminals as well as developed criminal intelligence.  

On 08.08.11, acting on a specific information, the team arrested accused Pratap Singh, who confessed his involvement in the crime. Accused also disclosed names of his associates i.e. Jatin, Rohit Tyagi, Gopal @ Ajay, Amit @ Puddy and Raja @ Kashmiri, who actively participated in the crime. He further disclosed that the looted money was divided among them and they had also purchased two motorcycles & a Santro Car from the looted money. At the instance of accused, all his associates were arrested and recovered Honda City Car used in commission of crime, 2 motor cycles purchased from the robbed booty and cash Rs. 55,000/-. One of their associate namely Raja is still at large and raids are being conducted to apprehend him and further recoveries are likely to be made in the case. INTERROGATION :

On sustained interrogation, it revealed that Raja r/o Trilok Puri, Delhi works as parking attendant in AIIMS and he was aware of that facts that huge cash is used to transport from the chemist shop i.e. A.R. Labs, located in the AIIMS to some other place. Accordingly, he contacted his friend Gopal @ Ajay s/o Het Ram r/o 17/117, Trilokpuri, Delhi and told him about the cash. Then, they contacted Pratap Singh s/o Bhawani Singh R/o 20/12, Kalyanpuri, Delhi, who recently came out of Tihar Jail. Then, they hatched the plan and Pratap arranged two country made pistols and a knife. Then, they stole a Honda City Car from the area of PS Mandawali to use the same in crime. On 04/7/11, Gopal and Raja took their positions in AIIMS and passed the information regarding movement of cash to Pratap who along with others had positioned near the gate in the stolen Honda City Car with fake number plate i.e. DL 3CY 7339. Then, they forcibly stopped the van of the complainant at AIIMS flyover and robbed Rs. 6 lacs from the complainant at gun point. PROFILE OF ACCUSED PERSONS :

 All the accused persons are from lower economic group. Most of

them are having past criminal records. Accused Pratap was previously involved in several robbery cases. Amit is a BC of PS Trilokpuri area. Jatin is previously involved in several cases of MV theft. Accused Rohit works as Bouncer and body building trainer.  RECOVERY :
