Press Release: On October 19th, 2015, Hilton Athens exterior will be illuminated in pink, becoming a symbol of hope. Take an artistic shot o Hilton Athens and spread the message of breast cancer prevention and early diagnosis. Global Illumination is a unique initiative to put the spotlight on breast cancer awareness by illuminating buildings, monuments and landmarks around the world in a blaze of pink light. The campaign is an initiative of the Estée Lauder Companies, aiming at spreading awareness about breast cancer prevention. From 2000 until now, more than 200 buildings, landmarks and important monuments in 70 countries around the world have been illuminated spreading the optimistic message that prevention saves lives. Hilton Athens, a landmark hotel in Athens, will become a symbol of hope on October 19th and will spread the salutary message of prevention and early detection of breast cancer to the Athenians. From the 19th until the 25th of October let’s make the campaign message go viral. By uploading our photos of the illuminated Hilton Athens on Instagram, using the hashtag #PinkHilton, we drive the campaign as far as we can.

Global Illumination is a unique initiative to put the spotlight on breast cancer awareness by illuminating buildings, monuments and landmarks around the world in a blaze of pink light. The campaign is an initiative of the Estée Lauder Companies, aiming at spreading awareness about breast cancer prevention.

From 2000 until now, more than 200 buildings, landmarks and important monuments in 70 countries around the world have been illuminated spreading the optimistic message that prevention saves lives. Hilton Athens, a landmark hotel in Athens, will become a symbol of hope on October 19th and will spread the salutary message of prevention and early detection of breast cancer to the Athenians.

From the 19th until the 25th of October let’s make the campaign message go viral. By uploading our photos of the illuminated Hilton Athens on Instagram, using the hashtag #PinkHilton, we drive the campaign as far as we can.

Three lucky participants with the most beautiful, exceptional, artistic and “Pink” photos will win:

1st prize: an annual Hiltonia Spa “Black membership", offering access to the gym, indoor and outdoor pool, sauna, hamam and hot tub

2nd prize: a one night stay for two, including breakfast in a Junior Suite

3rd prize: a dinner for two at the Galaxy Bar & Restaurant

In addition, Estee Lauder will offer to the winners a full set of cosmetics (face cleansing, serum, eye cream, day cream, lipstick, blush, shadows, mascara, and perfume).

Last but not least, you are welcome to add the hashtag #BCAstrength to your Instagram posts, as for every action submitted with #BCAstrength from October 1, 2015 and World Cancer Day on February 4, 2016 Estée Lauder Companies will donate $25, to fund a half-hour of breast cancer research through the Breast Cancer Research Foundation with the goal of funding up to 500 research hours ($25,000) through the support of our global digital community.
