Konica Minolta supplies app to connect Apple mobile devices with its printers

Langenhagen, Germany, March 2011

Konica Minolta has launched an app to connect its multifunctionals with Apple’s most admired mobile devices the iPhone®, iPadTM and the iPod touch®. PageScope Mobile enables users to browse, read and print documents from these mobile devices as well as to receive scanned data from Konica Minolta bizhubs. The new software is now available free of charge on the App Store.

“As Apple’s mobile products become more and more popular in the business world, there is a growing demand for printing directly from these devices,” says Simone Dahlheimer, Product Manager Office Group at Konica Minolta Business Solutions Europe. “With PageScope Mobile, we provide the ability to print wirelessly from the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. We also empower users to receive scanned documents from our supported multifunctionals.”

PageScope Mobile basically offers two functions: printing from mobile devices and receiving scanned documents from Konica Minolta multifunctionals – both by Wi-Fi. The app works with the iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPad and iPod Touch 4G.

“The software is available free of charge on the App Store and will help users to take even more advantage of the freedom they already enjoy by using mobile devices,” adds Simone Dahlheimer. “Because our aim is to fulfil the growing demand for network and cloud computing solutions in office environments, providing an application like PageScope Mobile was a corollary.”
