Nicola Haworth, who runs the hotel with husband Andrew, said that the opening had been a great success.“We have never staged anything like this before, but the hotel seems the perfect setting to show off all the paintings,” she said.Work was exhibited in the hotel’s grand entrance hall, the panelled lounge bar, up the stairs and along a first-floor corridor.

Visitors will be able to linger and enjoy it all the more because there’s plenty of free parking.”

Matthew Wilcock, the winner of the BBC TV contest, The Great Pottery ThrowDown, was the special guest at the opening of the Preston Art Society annual show. The exhibition had moved to its new out-of-town venue for the first time.

Matthew, who teachers pottery at Giggleswick School, told the visitors that he was hugely impressed by the standard of work on display.

Cloudy2Clear Announce Trusted Trader PartnershipConsumer champions Which? have now joined the thousands of customers who recognise that Cloudy2Clear Windows really are a business that you can TRUST. The company which specialises in repairing windows which are steamed up, broken or damaged by replacing the panes – not the frames has received the coveted ‘Which Trusted Trader’ status after going through a rigorous accreditation process entirely focussed on customer service. Group Managing Director Marcus McGee believes that Which? have endorsed Cloudy2Clear’s long

standing company policy of delivering the highest standards possible at all times. ‘Our service is simple. If your double glazing has misted up we can replace the glass at a fraction of the cost of a new window, in any type of frame, and with a new 25 year guarantee. But it’s not just about saving people money, although that obviously helps. Whilst a number of tradespeople perhaps don’t focus on customer care as much as they should do, we make sure we turn up when we say we will, do the job the customer requires and leave their house as clean as a whistle. Locally Cloudy2Clear service the Blackburn, Preston & Ribble Valley

areas and manager Paul Aspin agrees that this approach is a major factor in his success. ‘The truth is that it’s not just the personal satisfaction that I get from doing a good job but also it makes good business sense. I get a huge amount of business from friends and family of people I’ve done work for, which just goes to show how much a little bit of effort is appreciated as both my customers and, obviously a body as nationally important as Which? now recognise.’ So, if your windows are steamed up, broken or damaged give Paul a call for a free quotation on 0800 61 21 118 and he’ll be happy to help!

A series of Hollywood cool-kids join them on the big screen, including Rebel Wilson (the Pitch Perfect franchise), Cara Delevingne (PaperTowns) and Kim Kardashian West (Keeping Up With the Kardashians). So what happens.......After stirring up amedia storm at a fashion event, Edina and Patsy flee to the French Rivera and cause lots of mischief and drama. The girls are let loose in the luxury jungle of glitz and glamour and of course start to become attached to the Mediterranean lifestyle, deciding to trade their city life for beach life ..... will they or wont they?.

The album was recorded in Johannesburg while the band were on tour and features their touring partners Baaba Maal, Beatenberg and The Very Best. The band combine their folk melodies withAfrican music, the sound is totally different to anything else out there atthe moment, The first single, “There Will Be Time,” is available now and thenew album has 5 new tracks.

Peter Waring, in early 1940, soon afterthe outbreak of War, is posted as Medical Officer to an R.A.F. BomberStation in Suffolk. As the nation, on the brink of disaster, battles for survival, new to the job he has to learn to cope with the turmoil all around him. But Peter has his own personal conflicts, a legacy of a turbulent adolescence, of family tensions and revelations, and now is confronted by new uncertainties. He is to have his own battles ahead.Covering mainly the period 1940 to 1941, it is the story of the men and women of the R.A.F., and of ordinary citizens, at a critical time in Britain's history. It is, too, a love story with numerous strands. And it is the storyof how one man comes to understand his past, thereby learningto deal with the present and the future.
