Design Factory Bootcamp is part of RUN-EU Super week program.

On Monday 25.10.2021 Design Factory Bootcamp participants will meet for the first time.

To kick-start the week each institution will get to present themselves in Pecha Kucha format. This is thepretask for the Design Factory Bootcamp participants.

The idea is to present the current state of the institution regarding the Design Factory concept. If theinstitution has already a Design Factory, then they will present their Design Factory. If the institution doesnot yet have a Design Factory but has some sort of plan of people and spaces that will form a DesignFactory in the future, then the idea is to present the current situation. Alternatively, if the institution hassome cool similar concept that they are running then they can present it.

Have the Pecha Kucha presentation ready and available (USB memory stick etc.) by the time you arrive atHAMK. See more detailed Pecha Kucha instructions in the following page.

To kick-start the week, we ask everyone to join in for a round of Pecha Kucha presentations first thing on Monday. We want to get to knowwho you are and why you are coming to the Bootcamp! This is how it will go down: We ask each institution to send us 15 photos in apresentation format -preferably PowerPoint (ppt).

Being truthful to the Pecha Kucha-concept, absolutely no text is allowed in the slides. Each institution has 15 slides (x 20 seconds each)to present both themselves as a participating institution, as well as the people participating in the Bootcamp. You can decide how todivide the 15 slides between the different topics, but you need to address at least the following questions:

As an institution participating to the Bootcamp:

• Who are you and where are you from?

• What is the dream you wish to achieve that brought you to Bootcamp?

• What is the one challenge you have in your development work at the moment?

And for each individual participating to the Bootcamp:

• What are you passionate about?

• What is your expertise?

If you want more information about Pecha Kucha format, you can find the details here: https://www.pechakucha.com/about
