The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS DESCRIPTION OF ORGANISATION

• The Association of Psychologists and Psychopedagogists PROCIVITAS is a socio-professional association, non-profit and non-governmental, for counseling and social services for children, family and society, with its centre in Constanta, Romania.

• The association was founded in 2005. We are a young organization with over 100 members, aged 18-50 and over 50 teenagers aged 14-18. The association’s activity is coordinated by the Managing Board and by a President chosen of the founding members.

Volunteer Week - 2007 - in this action, APP awards volunteers who have distinguished themselves in activities organized for this occasion, and a team of APP moderated a workshop on assertive communication and personal development.

PROVIDES SPECIALIZED SERVICES

APP PROCIVITAS provided specialized services for psychological evaluation and certification of adoptive parents. We were, are and will be responsible - survey of drug use among high school students Purpose: The project follows a throughly study for young students on knowledge, attitudes and behaviors related to legal and illegal drug use among children from Constanta.Dates: July - November 2007Founded by Autoritatea Nationala pentru Tineret prin Directia Judeteana de Tineret Constanta (National Authority for Youth by the Youth Directorate Constanta County).

The drug, the illusion of freedomCoordinator: APP PROCIVITASPurpose: to inform young people in jail on drug and its risks, particular y the risk of HIV and the development of attitudes of rejection of alcohol, tobacco and drugs. The direct beneficiaries of the project: 500 young people from White Gate Penitentiary (Penitenciarul Poarta Alba).Dates: July - December 2007 Funded by ANT Directia Judeteana pentru Tineret Constanta (ANT Youth Department from Constanta county) .

International Day of Non-violence in schoolOrganizer: APP PROCIVITASRoundtable discussion with pupils, parents, teachers, masters, school counselors and the responsible factors in promoting non-violence in school.Dates: January 30, 2007



PROCIVITAS ClubsPurpose: APP members involvement in community life of Constanta.Results: The organization of a PROCIVITAS club to analyze community problems identified in Constanta.Period: January, December 2007 Project organized and funded entirely by the APP PROCIVITAS departments.

Civic Education in ActionThe overall objective of the project: Increasing youth participation in society and reducing risk factors that lead to marginalization and social exclusion through art.Project beneficiaries: 200 youngsters - 100 from five schools and 100 from five shelters.Dates: March - June 2007 Funded by Autoritatea Naţională pentru Tineret prin Direcţia Judeţeană pentru Tineret Constanţa (National Authority for Youth by Youth Department from Constanta County)

Năvodari School’s Days - 2007In this action, APP PROCIVITAS has coordinated several activities about youth involvement and social responsibility to reduce aggressive behavior. The APP PROCIVITAS team was very well received by students and teachers and thay were congratulated and thanked for the successful action.



Sociological Research on the educational needs of first-schoolersThe project was fully implemented by APP PROCIVITAS in Constanta County. 15 members of APP PROCIVITAS have participated, of which 10 operators and five specialists from the team which conducted the research.Purpose: To identify and supply the needs of preschool education in Constanta countyResults: The research was conducted and the results were publicizedPeriod: January - March 2007Funded by Fundatia Sf. Once is always - a project coordinated and implemented by APP PROCIVITAS Purpose: to inform and educate students of VIIIth, IXth and Xth classes in 50 schools in Constanta, on the drug, its risks on the development of attitudes of rejection of alcohol , tobacco and drugs.The direct beneficiaries of the project were 6500 students of VIIIth, IXth and Xth classes of the 50 schools and colleges informed by 10 policemen.Period: July-December 2007Founded by ANT

National Conference of Psychology -Psychosocial integration of persons with disabilities-

Under the aegis of transforming boundaries in starting linesAPP PROCIVITAS organized the first edition of the National Conference, in September, 26 to 30.2007 at Eforie Sud, on psychosocial integration of persons with disabilities. The conference was attended by 68 specialists from all over the country.Four thematic workshops were organized;A publication was developed - Transforming boundaries in starting lines.16 people with disabilities have been involved in workshop activities.This successful action led to the idea of an initiative to address the permanent integration of persons with psychosocial disabilities from an interdisciplinary perspective

Diversity joins us project, implemented by APP PROCIVITAS, sought knowledge and promotion of diversity and intercultural dialogue among young people. BIG BROTHERS – BIG SISTERS

The project implemented by APP PROCIVITAS, was held constant over 12 months, with the overall objective of youth involvement in 10 schools and three shelters; the project involved over 130 young people in activities. With non-formal education instruments, over 130 young people from 10 schools and three shelters have participated in briefings and trainings on pro social behavior, young European opportunities, the voting right and peer education.Implementation period: August 2008 – July 2009Funded by ANPCDEFP, within the Youth in Action program, National Youth Initiative

Dialog in a bits-world: promotion of good practices of multiethnic coexistence in Constanta, Dobrogea

In the project implementation, were involved the representatives of seven ethnic minorities in Constanta. Target groups: students and teachers from 10 high schools and 10 first schools in Constanta. Representatives of each ethnic minority made presentation about where they belong, their customs, traditions, costumes, religious customs and habits. The project team and representatives of ethnic groups have worked together and made the film to promote best practices in Dobrogea multiethnic coexistence, practically achieved at a lower level model work together to know each other, interact.

Furthermore a play was realized as a result of joint work, the collaboration based on understanding and mutual respect. The materials for the presentation of each minority were supported with information provided by representatives of ethnic groups.

Creativity Week -Valuing young peoplePurpose: Valuing the youth with good marks in schools from disadvantaged rural areas of Dobrogea.Objectives: - to increase capacity of the youth department of ACT APP to provide socio-educational animation services for young people through training of 10 volunteers in an animation course. - to engage in non-formal educational and recreational activities through workshops, creation headed workshops and sports competitions organized by the seven young people from the ACT APP PROCIVITAS Department and the 10 social educated animators in the project of 40 youth with limited financial opportunities, aged between 12 -15 years, from 10 rural environments: Amzacea, Biruinta, Cogealac, Comana, Corbu, Mereni, Mosneni, Nazarcea, Nisipari, Pecineaga.Implementation period: May 2010 - September 2010Funded by ANPCDEFP, within the Youth in Action program, National Youth Initiative
