A new membership year is beginning with this Newsletter. In order to remit your dues, an envelope and volunteer form is included for your convenience. For our new neighbors, the annual dues are $5.00 per household. The dues defray the cost of newsletters, advertisement of annual events, flyers to promote special events, certificates & prizes for the winners of the Halloween & Christmas home decorating contest and the spring cookout.

I would like to mention that many people provide materials, labor and time to these projects, gratis. Pride Civic Association would not function without these volunteers. We are in need of additional volunteers to assist in the leadership of our

neighborhood association. The volunteer form highlights areas of service needed. The committee meets informally four or five times a year.

Give it some thought and join us. We have a great neighborhood as demonstrated by the many new families moving in the area. We can be proud of our neighborhood. Your support and participation will help make us a more cohesive group, caring and looking out for each other as good neighbors do.

An old man goes to the Wizard to ask him if he can remove a "Curse" he has been living with for the last 40 years.

The Wizard says "maybe, but you will have to tell me the exact words that were used to put the curse on you."

The old man says without hesitation "'I now pronounce you man and wife'".

Speed radar detection signs have been installed on both directions on Lakeview Road. The Sheriff will collect speed and traffic information to help them see when the most violations occur so they can start handing out

tickets. We’ve noticed some cars have slowed down but many are still 10-15 mph above the 30 mph speed limit.

some very good live music. Best of all there was a lot of great conversation amongst the neighbors. Come see what we have in store this year. The one thing that won’t be a surprise is that people from the neighborhood will be

sitting on the ground, but we don’t really get that close to nature. A folding chair will do just fine. Last year we had a firetruck as a point of interest, and we had
