For the first time PRIMAL Ultimate Club qualify and attended the Australian Mixed Ultimate Championships (AMUC). Being held right here in Perth was a bonus as it allowed us to host some friends and make the most of a home turf campaign.

The club appointed two Coaches; Anna Haynes and Kyal Oh to run selections, finalise the squad and prepare the team for this event. With our open door policy on junior development we had some awesome friends joining us from around the country. You either had to be an awesome junior or highly supportive of the junior development system in order to be considered for the PRIMAL AMUC team.

As a team we fought hard for every point, backed each other up and bought the best out in each other. We learnt a lot and matured as a unit, it was (as usual with tournaments) over far too quickly. Going into the tournament seeded 17th we finished a respectable 11th and came close to some of the top seeds. We became better players and forged new friendships and isn’t that what it’s all about?
