Primary audience- Female (15-25)

The movie itself has a few major aspects which point it in the direction of being a picture with a major female audience, the biggest point about the movie being these few points, especially considering in different ways you see how the film makes these points, firstly, the all woman cast, this may seem like a small factor and just part of the story, but having the entire cast female makes a point in the film world and the point being to empower women in roles as dangerous as these, making it slightly more feminist than initial thoughts as well as helping to build a great plot, secondly they might be fans of the director or cast, which is usually a big part in a movie, as if a person knows the cast they may like to see what they are in or the director and their filming style, next, the survival aspect, why it may seem basic its a massive human instinct which no matter the gender or age have a sense of, so just the fact its a survival horror helps to attract crowds. Lastly, the drama, throughout the film it shows different aspects of standard drama, then it shows a lot of surreal drama, which is a stereotypical female thing to enjoy.

Secondary audience-Male (15-25)

With the male audience you tend to see more minor aspects faced at them, but quite a few, so firstly we see women, which are stereotypically used to attract a male to a less male orientated film, next we have the blood and gore, which every man loves, violence being somewhat key to a horror and this film uses a lot considering, and with all that violence comes blood, then the extreme sport within the film, this movie is pretty much all in a cave and the start has rafting, throughout this we see factors of sport and caving, which is seen as a more masculine sport to take part in, which leaves a lot to the imagination for the average male, which is generally quite fun and exciting so adding that sport helps move the film along, next, fans again, which the cast comes the people who enjoy watching them, so it’s inevitable that people watching will be fans of either the cast or the director, as well as with the survival, it’s a human thing we all have, which will attract the average human. Lastly the music, both genders will enjoy this as it sets the mood for the film, which affects us as a viewer, so all should enjoy.
