ProgramStatus&Accomplishments• In2015,CMSRUwasawardeda$1.75milliongrantfromHealthResourcesandServices
Administration(HRSA)foritsPCTE.Theprincipalgoaloftheproject wastodevelopandlaunchthethree-yearacceleratedprogram.
• Thisyear,CMSRUalsoreceivedsupplementaryfundingfromHRSAforthedevelopmentofanopioid/addictionscurriculum,whichwillbeprovidedtothestudentsinboththeacceleratedandregularMD-programs.
• July2017,CMSRUwelcomedthesecondcohortofstudentsintoitsthree-year• acceleratedprogram.• CurrentlysevenstudentsareenrolledinPC3andanadditionalfirstyearstudentwill
likelyjoinattheendoftheacademicyear.Ultimatelytherewillbefourstudentsperclass(M1-M3),andineachtrack:twointernalmedicineandtwoinpediatrics.
