The Transit of Venus is a once in a lifetime experience…in fact, only once in over 100 years! On 5th June, the day before the Transit of Venus, Harry, Miani and Rupert interviewed Darren Bellingham, from the Astronomy Society of Victoria to find out about this incredible celestial event. The team were also lucky enough to witness this amazing, once in a lifetime transit for themselves at the Melbourne Observatory, where amateur astronomer Del Smith had his telescope linked to his laptop, mapping the transit of Venus across the sun. “It was so awesome to be able to see the Transit of Venus with my own eyes. It’s something I will be able to tell My grandchildren about one day! Thanks so much Del.” Miani The next Transit of Venue is not until 2117!
What’s Cooking Kids for this Winter? Relish Mama’s Nellie Kerrison cooks up a storm! Darcy, Kaitlyn and Mia received some excellent cooking tips for this season’s ‘What’s Cooking Kids?’ when they chatted with Nellie Kerrison from Relish Mama’s Cooking School. Check out Nellie’s yummy recipes and podcast on our website!
