Summer clothes Think about your favourite summer clothes. In your special book draw a person outline (there is a template on the website) and then draw your favourite clothes on the person. Label the clothes and explain why you like them so much.

One more Can you remember what one more than 4 is? How about one more than 9? See if you can find some loose parts (stones, pebbles, corks, gems, bottle top lids, etc) ask your grown up to tell you a number between 1 and 10 and then you have to count out the amount of objects that is one more than the number your grown up told up. Repeat the activity as few times.

Challenge: try the same activity with numbers between 11 and 20.

Watch Steve Castilloux read the story ‘A Perfect Day’

This funny story is set in the summer in a garden. The story starts with the little animals having a perfect day and then the bear ends up having a perfect day.

What would your perfect day be? Would you be in the garden, in a park, in your house or somewhere else?

Think about your perfect day. What is the weather like? What season is it? What would you do during the day? What would you eat? Where would you go?

Write down your ideas, or draw them in a picture. Keep them until tomorrow.

One less What is 1 less than 10? How about 1 less than 8? Have a go at completing the one more and one less worksheet on the website. If you are unable to print it off, make your own version in your special book.

You might need a number line to help you. One less – jump backwards, one more – jump forwards.

Practice writing

Write the letter z ten times.

Practise writing the bear word; like.
