We have looked at problems like this before. They are basic algebra problems and are made to get your brain whirring!

You need to pay close attention to BODMAS (the order of operations) in order to solve these problems correctly.

1) Can you solve all 3 of these problems?2) Can you test someone at home on them? Did they

get them right or did they forget BODMAS? 3) Teach someone at home how to get the correct

answer or tell them why they were right!

Your main task to today is to make your own problem like this and email it to me! Either draw it and take a picture or make it on the computer. Try to make it challenging, but also possible to solve!

You don’t have to do one just like this, you could have more than 3 rows or a problem that combines all answers into one final equation to make it more challenging!

Most of this is self-explanatory and you must complete the operations in this order for an equation to be accurate. So, for example:

4 + 4 x 4 = 32

4 + 4 x 4 = 20

Same question, to different answers. The 1st one I just completed the equation in order, but this is not correct because I didn’t use BODMAS. The second IS correct, because I did the multiplication before the adding (M comes before A in the word BODMAS).
