WARNING:
Carry out the handling according to the following manufacturers instructions.
Always respect warnings from the relevant manuals of the machine. Make sure all electric power or other energy sources are disconnected
and closed before any servicing. Always turn off the main switch. Wait 10 minutes after electrical power is disconnected to eliminate power
on the inverter terminals. Installation, maintenance and service must be executed by skilled service
personnel only or by a service organisation with appropriate authorization from the manufacturer.
For service, use only original replacement parts. Re-install all machine parts in the original way. The qualified agency performing this work assumes all responsibility for
this kit installation. Other service activities than described below, disable all manufacturers responsibility.
Make sure children are not around during work in progress.

Solution:
Due to the complexity of this rebuild the instruction is split in 2 parts.
1st part: Mechanical part
1. Unscrew the lid screw
2. Carefully dismantle the two-piece shell
3. Assemble the filter to the interface bracket as indicated at the figure beside
A. Fix the filter to the bracket by using screw A (incl. notched washer, flat washer and nut)
B. Use screws B & C later in the instruction (point 10)

4. Position the inverter on the filter and fix them by the three M4x12 screws
5. Connect the wires from the filter towards the main power input clamps of the inverter as shown (L1 brown, N blue and earth in one of the countermarked points).
Before starting the following operation, disconnect the machine from the mains and wait 10 minutes for the capacitors to discharge.
6. Remove the right door by unscrewing the 4 screws.
7. Countermark the engine connection wires (right W, central V, left U as shown in the figure beside)
8. Remove the original inverter. (GRA540751000045)
9. Mount the assembled inverter into the machine by using the existing fixation holes
A. Fix the assembly to the highest fixing point by screw B (incl. notched washer, flat washer and nut)
B. Fix the filter & bracket in the lower fixation point by screw C (incl. notched washer, flat washer and nut)

2nd part: Electrical part
The figure beside gives an overview about the functions of each individual connector of the original inverter for ironers I25 and I30
1. Replace the original earth connection eyelet by an 5 eyelet and connect power supply terminals onto filter connector.
Inverter main power supply (neutral and earth phase)
Three-phase motor power supply
Circuit breaker protection relay output
Speed signal connections (common codes + rotation direction)
Earth connector

2. Connect the power supply (phase and neutral) to the Mitsubishi filter clamp
3. Connect motor wires on the indicated spots (see picture beside). Its highly recommended to respect the added marks (recommended by point 7 of the mechanical part of this instruction).
4. Due to the moved position of the power output clamps it is required to open the wiring duct and to extend the wires by removing some cable strips
.
5. Connect the speed signals like shown on in the figure beside. Its required to respect the indicated purpose for each wire. The purpose of each wire is indicated at the connector of original inverter

6. Connect the protection earth wire to the inverter by one of the two foreseen screws
7. Connect wires of current protection relay on terminals A (grey wire) and C (orange wire = common) of the new inverter.
8. Verify whether all wire connections are made. In case there are still unconnected wires, please revise the above described instruction steps
Be very careful if the above instruction is not executed as described, there is a high risk of
damage of the unit and/or risk of
electrocution with risk of death
9. Remount the inverter shells properly and tighten the removed screw into its original state

10. Set the Inverter parameters
To make the inverter applicable for the machine you need to modify several parameters. The parameter settings are depending on the type of machine (/25 or /30). To modify the required parameters you need to proceed following steps:
In case error 4 appears on the inverter - to enable the change of certain parameters you need to select the PU-mode by the button PU/EXT (step 2 as described above).

Verification check-up:
1. Switch the mains on, so the unit is able to operate.
2. Press the start and ironing pedal, by this the roller must run in the normal ironing direction. If you are not sure about the normal ironing direction: look towards the gear which is at the ironer PCB side. In case the gear us turning clock wise, the way of rotation is correct. If the way turning of the gear is counter clock wise, shut down the mains immediately and switch 2 phase-lines at the motor power supply at the inverter (see also point 3 of the electrical part of the instruction)
3. When above step has been checked and found correct, activate the safety bar manually. The roll has to slow down until reverse. Meanwhile the basin has to rise until the non-active position.
4. Try to change the speed on the ironer control board from 1 to 7. If the speed of rotation of the roller changes accordingly, the installation of the new inverter is successful. If the roll doesnt rotate or rotates at a wrong speed, check the speed signal connections (described at point 5 of the electrical part of this instruction)
5. In case the complete verification has been done and the installation has been found correct, the installation can be considered as successful. To end the job we recommend to bind & organise the wiring properly and mount the side panel back in its original position.
