Princess Grace Choco Cake ( Single recipe) 1 c (bar) butter
3 c sugar
4 pcs eggs
3 c cake flour
1 c cocoa
3 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 c diluted milk ( preferably fresh milk ) or 1 1 1.2 milk + 1.2 c water
1 tsp vanilla
Procedure:
1. Cream butter . add sugar gradually. Add eggs one at a time
2. Mix all dry ingredients . sift them altogether
3. Alternately add dry ingredients with liquid ingredients to the creamed mixture sifting with dry ingredients and ending with dry ingredients
4. Beat just enough to blend. Press through a sifter into a baking pan
5. Bake in a double recipe pan, 9x12 x 2 or 2 loaf pans at 375 degrees or moderately hot oven.
Baking pan must be greased and lined with brown paper or wax paper.
Chocolate cream filling
1 bi can evap milk
1 cup sugar
c all purpose flour
tsp vanilla
4 eggyolks
cup butter
cup cocoa powder
In a double boiler cook the first six ingredients until thick. Add vanilla. Set aside to cool
Bechamel sauce ( White sauce )
1 c butter
2/3 c flour
3 c hot water
3 c Alpine evap milk
2 tsp salt
tsp pepper
2 c grated chese
1.) Melt butter.
2.) Baked in flour.
3.) Gradually stir in the hot water and milk.
4.) cook until bubbly.
5.) Season with salt and pepper.
6.) Ste aside.
