Teachers and students have been collaboratively working together to re-teach positive expected behaviors on the playground, hallway, bathroom and classroom. We have Constable Short in to speak about technology and privacy on January 13, and later on in the month we have presentation planned around substance awareness by AHD Addictions Services. Parents, volunteers, teachers, staff and students have provided valuable feedback in support of our focus and our successThank you! When school is a positive, safe and fun place to be, the learning becomes remarkable! Your support at home is essential in making this happen. Every night, please set aside time for your child to discuss their day with you as well as practicing some academic work. Reading, as well as math facts (multiplication especially) and other math problems are a few examples of areas your child can work in. Just 10-15 minutes of practice each day can be the difference in making tremendous gains and give your child every learning advantage now and in their future. Please connect with your childs teacher on specific ways that may support the needs of your child. Happy New Year! Principal’s Message: Happy New Year to everyone!

Teachers and students have been collaboratively working

together to re-teach positive expected behaviors on the

playground, hallway, bathroom and classroom. We have

Constable Short in to speak about technology and privacy on

January 13, and later on in the month we have presentation

planned around substance awareness by AHD Addictions

Services. Parents, volunteers, teachers, staff and students have

provided valuable feedback in support of our focus and our

success‼ Thank you! When school is a positive, safe and fun

place to be, the learning becomes remarkable! Your support at

home is essential in making this happen. Every night, please set

aside time for your child to discuss their day with you as well as

practicing some academic work. Reading, as well as math facts

(multiplication especially) and other math problems are a few

examples of areas your child can work in. Just 10-15 minutes of

practice each day can be the difference in making tremendous

gains and give your child every learning advantage now and in

their future. Please connect with your child’s teacher on specific

ways that may support the needs of your child. Happy New Year!

Lunch Time / Appointments / Leaving Early

A closed campus exists to assist the school in ensuring a safe and

caring environment. Students are not allowed off school premises

unless a parent contacts the school via phone/note to have the

student attend an appointment or be involved in a specific activity.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy,

please contact Mrs. Kristine Wilkinson, Principal, or Mrs. Darla Clark,

Vice Principal.

Severe Nut Allergies

We have students who have severe allergic reactions to nuts. If

exposed to nuts, their reaction may place them in a life-threatening

situation. In providing as safe an environment as possible, we

encourage our students to not share their food with others. If students

are bringing treats for others, we ask that they be free of nut products.

Your assistance in limiting these products being brought into the school

is appreciated. We would also ask parents/guardians to inform the

school if their child(ren) have any life threatening allergies so that we

may better protect your children’s health. Please contact the school

office at (780) 923-2240.

Absentee Check

If your child will be absent for the day please contact the school as

soon as possible at 780-923-2240, or send an email to:

[email protected]. Absentee checks will be done each

morning, and automated calls will be made to verify attendance for

those students marked absent.
