I hope that all of you enjoyed a restful winter break with your students. It was great to see so many of you at parent/teacher conferences this month. We realize that you took time out of your busy schedules to attend. The partnership that our Lindbergh team has with our families is extremely important to student success. Research shows that parent and school partnerships have a dramatic influence on student success. Additionally, our Lindbergh community appreciates everyone that has already turned in the parent input surveys. We recognize the value of your feedback as we are continually striving to improve our roles. Please send in the surveys by February 6 th . Open enrollment allows Arizona students to attend a public school outside their attendance area or district. Mesa Public Schools offers many choices in education and welcomes open enrollment students from within district or outlying districts. Applications are available in school offices and at www.mpsaz.org. For any application submitted before March 1, the student will be notified of the acceptance decision by April 1. If accepted, the school requests confirmation within two weeks that the student will attend. The first criteria for acceptance is available capacity. The names of applicants who are not accepted will be placed on a waiting list. Applications are accepted after March 1 and will be added to the wait list should enrollment restrict acceptance. All students currently attending Lindbergh on open enrollment need to submit a new application for the 2017/2018 school year. Mesa Public Schools has launched Peachjar, a new electronic flier communication tool. I attended Chandler Gilbert Community College where I received an Associates in Business in 2012. I took time off from school to work in the Solar Industry for a few years in the Phoenix Metro and Prescott area, until I decided to transfer my credit to Arizona State University and start my career in education. I began class at ASU in the fall of 2016 for my undergraduate in Elementary Education with a Math STEM field. I'm expecting to graduate by 2018. I want to eventually teach between 5th and 8th grade. Family is a big inspiration for why I chose to get involved in education. My father teaches Social Studies and World History at Desert Mountain High School in the Scottsdale School District, and my uncle is a Professor in Sports Medicine at the University of Illinois. I am an only child, I tend to spend my free time rock climbing around Echo Canyon or South Mountain when it's not blistering hot outside. My favorite food is Sushi. Dear Lindbergh Families,

Happy New Year to all of our Lindbergh families! I hope that all of you enjoyed a restful winter break with

Did you know families can stop by the library after school to check out

books?

We are open from 2:30-3:30!

Families may check out up to four books, and they may be checked out

for two weeks. They can be returned with your student when you're

finished reading. We also have a limited selection of bilingual

English/Spanish books.

Estimadas Familias de Lindbergh,

¡Feliz Año Nuevo a todas nuestras familias de Lindbergh! Espero que todos ustedes hayan disfrutado de

unas relajantes vacaciones de invierno con sus estudiantes. Fue fabuloso ver los en las conferencias de

padres y maestros. Sabemos que usted tomó tiempo fuera de sus horarios ocupados para asistir. La

relación que tenemos con nuestras familias es extremadamente importante para el éxito de los estudiantes.

Las investigaciones muestran que las asociaciones de padres y escuelas tienen una influencia dramática en

el éxito de los estudiantes. Además, nuestra comunidad de Lindbergh agradece a todos los padres que

regresaron las encuestas de padres. Reconocemos el valor de sus comentarios porque estamos trabajando

La inscripción abierta permite a los estudiantes de Arizona asistir a una escuela pública fuera de su área de

asistencia o distrito. Las Escuelas Públicas de Mesa ofrecen muchas opciones en educación y da la

Yo nace y crece aquí in Arizona, pero mi familia es de Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. Yo atendí

Chandler Gilbert Community College donde recibí mi Asociados en Negocios en 2012. Después

de eso me fui a trabajar por algunos años en Phoenix y Prescott hasta que decidí a empezar una

carrera en educación. Empecé en Arizona State University con matemáticos. Quiero gradad en

2018 o 2019 y empezar a ensenar a los niños entre medio de los quinto y octavo grados.

Mi familia es mi gran inspiración porque elegí a involucrarme en mi educación. Mi padre ensena

estudios sociales y historia del mundo en el escuela Desert Mountain High School en el distrito

escolar en Scottsdale y me tío es profesor de medicina del deporte de la Universidad de Illinois.

Yo soy el único hijo y paso mi tiempo libre escalando alrededor de Echo Canyon o South Mountain cuando no esta tan caliente afuera. Mi comida favorita es Sushi. Algún día me gustaría ir en los rápidos en Colorado hacer kayak.

Necesitamos ayuda de todos para asegurar que los

estudiantes llegan a la escuela en tiempo. La investigación muestra que los estudiantes que llegan tarde a la escuela

están en desventaja en empezando el día escolar con éxito. Puertas están abiertas a las 7:25 con supervisión de un

adulto.

El primer más importante trabajo del estudiante es

?Ustedes Saben que las familias pueden pasar por la biblioteca

después de la escuela para pedir prestado los libros?

Estamos Abiertos de 2:30-3:30 pm!

Familias pueden pedir prestado hasta cuatro libros y se puede quedarse

con los libros durante dos semanas. Pueden entregarse con su niño/a

cuando haya terminado con el libro. También tenemos una selección

limitada de libros bilingües de ingles y español.
