I am and will always remain very proud of the hard work and accomplishments of our students, faculty and staff, and the support of all of our parents and families. We simply cannot reach the highest levels of achievement we strive for without everyone’s help. Thank you all. Health and wellness is a theme we continue building up. We are very proud of our student’s ability to always show great fitness and character. We continue to support them with a school wide physical education program directed by teacher James Muraoka as well as a school wide character education program directed by Dr. Michelle Metcalf. Healthy body and healthy mind. Simple. Please take the time to allow your child 30 minutes of physical activity daily to support their fitness. And you can also ask your child to share their Keiki Character Counts affirmations with you. These are the positive statements and self talk we encourage students to say aloud to teach good character and Hawaiian values such as Aloha, Compassion, Selflessness, ‘Ohana, and Friendship. Our kids are GREAT kids…let them show you! :) I want to share/remind you of a couple resources to keep you connected to events at school: Like us on Facebook @eleeleschool or go to - www.FaceBook.com/ eleeleschool. Our FB page is a great way to keep up with our school calendar of events or connect with other members of our school community. You can even send us a message or view some great pics of the school from past and present. School Website - www.eleeleschool.k12.hi.us as we continue to add the most current information about school programs, lunch, and special events. Finally, as always, please remember it is the simple things that assist the school the most… Feed your child well both their body and their mind, let them rest, let them play, and most of all enjoy your time with them caring for them deeply and building them up as a strong human being and productive member of our community. We are here to help. Enjoy the rest of your school year! As a final note, I wish you all a very happy holiday season celebrating all the pleasures that family and friends bring! Care for your loved ones deeply by being present for them in all ways. Paul Zina Principal Principal’s Message
