TEM Summative Information

Summative conferences (April 17-May 23):◦All observations must be completed

prior to summative conference.◦Professionalism conference must be

held and form must be submitted to teacher before opening the summative form.

uss each TEM measure included in the teacher’s overall evaluation, Complete Advancement Summary and Submit form to teacher

Advancement Summary

Re-election1) Notify teacher of

recommendation to reelect.

2) If teacher scores below expectation in any one TEM measure, make a recommendation for support (PLP).

Non-Reelection

1) Notify the teacher of your recommendation for non-reelection. If there are non-TEM related reasons for recommended non-reelection, describe those reasons.

2) Refer to the Differential Retention Manual for additional information.

Non-Reelection As in previous years, any teacher may be

recommended for non-reelection for the following reasons: • Incompetence• Inefficiency (TEM score)• Neglect of Duty• Unprofessional or Improper Conduct• Insubordination

Regardless of a teacher’s TEM score, he or she can be non-reelected for any of the above reasons.

The TEM score is a tool to assist with decisions, but reelection recommendations are determined by the principal.
