B2Email Standard 6.2

Allows you to archive, print or send Baan Reports by email to anyone at anytime, including nightly jobs - in PDF, RTF, CSV, XML, BPF, TXT, HTML or in the email body.

B2Email Standard - General

B2Email Standard can be used to distribute important heavy duty reports at night. Several people will get a copy by e-mail (in the format they prefer), it will also be printed on few printers and saved on disk in few locations. It can also be used directly or indirectly using scripts for general e-mailing of reports, printing documents such as invoices or checks and simply to save a soft copy of a certain report in PDF format.

Sending Modes

B2Email Standard works in three modes:

• Manual Mode

• Automatic Mode

• From a Program Script

B2Email Device

Manual Mode:

Automatic Mode

Defines the recipients of each report and sends a message.

Every time this report is run to the B2Email device, it is sent to the email address defined by the broker.

This is very useful for nightly jobs run in batch!

Automatic Mode:

If a report is defined in the B2Email broker session, the B2Email device will pick the broker definitions to automatically email, print or archive the output coming out of Baan.

Methods of sending – Body

File Types – RTF

RTF files can be opened in Ms-Word for additional editing.

With B2Email, you can automatically add a header and footer (per company)

B2Email allows you to send Baan reports in BPF format, ready to be printed by BWPrint. The advantage of this option is that reports can be printed in a remote location in the same format as produced by Baan, and cannot be viewed unless somebody has a BW Client installed.

PDF Secured Files became the Ad-Hoc standard for sending files to business documents by email. You can produce Invoices or checks in any paper size, with a pre-defined header and footer. You can also add a signature to the PDF document.

B2Email can turn Baan reports to a CSV files to be viewed by Ms-Excel. Report titles are automatically removed by B2Email using NAZDAQ’s B2Win report converter.

XML (Extensible Markup Language) is a method for putting structured data into a text file that follows standard guidelines and can be read by a variety of applications.

Baan reports are E-mailed as body of email or as attachments.

The message is automatically signed by the user’s data.

Receiving an E-mail using B2Email Standard

The standard subject is the report’s name

The attached report can be zipped

Message body and subject can be customized per report.

Define a different paper type for every document produced

(A4, Letter, A5, Check Size).

System keeps log of every E-mail sent, file printed or archived.
