For the box I used under my lead

article, I simply drew it with the

rectangular marquee tool, and filled

it with the paint bucket tool. I also

changed the opacity to 70% so it

wouldn’t overpower my lead article

title, and so it would blend into the

background. to cut the edges of the

box’s I used the polygonal lasso

tool, the reason I did this was the

get rid of unnecessary bits I didn’t

need, and also to make the box

look neater.

For my lead article title, I used the

stroke tool, to form the white on

black approach, this was to make it

stand out over the rest of my cover

lines. I also used the red so it stood

out over the colour box behind it. I

only put the size of the stroke to 7%

so it didn’t overpower the text.

For my barcode I simply just copied and

pasted it from Google, and then just used

the magic wand tool to cut out all the white

bits around it. The reason I chose a red

barcode was so it was clear and visible over

the background.

For the caption box at the bottom of

my front cover I simply just drew it with

the square marquee toll and added

some effect such as

- I used a gradient overlay to

enhance the black and it added a

grey tone

- I used a drop shadow, to increase

the colour tone

- I used the stoke icon, to outline the

box to make it stand out even

further.

All of my text for my

cover lines I kept plain

and simple, I chose Arial

font type, so it still looked

neat and presentable,

but I didn’t use a font

type such as Times New

Roman, because it

looked to formal for the

image I was heading for.

The mast head I kept simple but

bold. I also added the caption

‘music sensation’ underneath just

to finish it off. I used the stroke

tool on size 18% to really

enhance and make the mast

head much bolder. Which is what

I wanted so it would stand out to

the audience
