• Prints Trends and Digital DataAutomatically generate both trend and digital tabular hardcopy printouts using any Windows compatible color or black & white printer. Hardcopy trend printouts are confgurable by selecting any combination of channels in both linear and circular formats and fle header information. File header information includes start date, end date, the number of channels in the data fle and product serial number in addition to selected variables dependent upon the type of data fle being processed.
• Printing and Managing Data from Multiple DevicesDuring initial setup, source and destination folders are confgured to defne the location of the data to be processed. Binary data from multiple Yokogawa devices can be processed by a single source confguration. The destination folder defnes where the binary data is stored after processing. Each source can be confgured to print to a single printer; however, multiple source confgurations can be created and each source confguration can process data from the same or different Yokogawa devices. Therefore, data can be printed to multiple network assignable printers from either a single or several Yokogawa devices. There is no limit to the number of source confgurations.
• Converting Data to a Common File FormatYokogawa binary encrypted data is converted to both Comma Separated Variable (.CSV) and Portable Document Format (.PDF) formats. Comma Separated Variable fles are easily read by Microsoft Excel, Lotus 123 and many word processing programs while Adobe Acrobat displays the PDF.

• Flexible File AllocationTwo destination folders can be assigned for a single source confguration. This allows the user to store secure, binary encrypted fles in a different location than the .CSV and .PDF fles. This useful feature provides limited access to the binary fles and open access to .CSV and .PDF folders for general review.
• Easily Handles Network or Server FailuresAll Yokogawa products supported by Printwave can automatically transfer binary data fles via FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to a network PC Server. Data fles may be transferred to specifc server folders at user selectable intervals. If the network is not available when a device attempts to transfer data, secure fles are retained in non-volatile memory within the device and are sent to the server at the next scheduled transfer time. As the network recovers, all data fles will be received by the server and Printwave will process them as they arrive.
• Automatic Date File ArchivingThe most common Printwave system confguration includes multiple Yokogawa products transferring binary data to a single server computer. Each Yokogawa product is confgured to transfer data into a unique folder on the server. Printwave can be confgured to delete, move or copy original binary data fles as they are acted upon in the source confguration folder. Binary and converted fles may be stored in different folders on a single server or any other folder available where Printwave is installed, including shared networked folders.
• Unattended OperationPrintwave runs as a Windows Service and will operate without an active user login on the server. When running in unattended mode without a current user login, the service should be confgured with its own login that has access rights to all devices used by Printwave, including printers and shared networked folders.
• SecurityA password can be entered to prevent unauthorized access to the Printwave confguration.
