The Federal Election Commission requires that corporate trade associations like NAMIC (which have corporate members, not individual members) receive permission from a company executive prior to soliciting a PAC donation from themselves or their employees.

Before a NAMIC member can be asked to donate to NAMIC PAC, a senior executive at the company who is a main contact between the company and NAMIC, must first sign the prior approval form.

I understand that my company may not approve a solicitation by any other trade association for these years. (Federal law requires political committees to report the name, company, address, occupation and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in a calendar year.)
