Policy awareness?
The policy already exists for communication with or about students, patients, etc. so do we need to
have separate policy or include statements in existing policy?? We would prefer to be proactive to
develop policy rather than have it dictated to us. How do we respond or do we when UTHSCSA is
mentioned in social media? (example concerning animal research)

It is interesting how some utilize all facets of Facebook or Twitter through the use of
photos/text/updates. Different uses of You Tube - puts human face to personal story
What's missing here? Staff/time/$$
How to do efficiently? What are some tried and true Tips & Tricks? What about security?We need a knowledge base
How can we implement social media? (Without getting fired....use at your own risk today).
We must try to make then decisions as informed as possible, aid in risk/ benefit decisions.
