We're proud to present our new track frame for 2013. For this first 2013 creation we went from our traditional Columbus steel to the more modern aluminum.This season we wanted to make a tribute to one of our most favorite frames ever released, the 1993 Cannondale Track.

It’s 20 years ago the Cannondale Track hit the tracks and has become an icon since then. Tight geometry, stiff and fast. The three key features for a good, no, awesome(!) track frame. The Cannondale used to come as a complete build with a Suntour Superbe Pro Track Groupset. Which not only made it look good, it was a top of the line innovative trackbike back in the early 90ies.

With the Cannondale as our inspiration we set off and started the development of the frame whilst listening closely to our framebuilder’s experience and knowledge. After months of tweaking we finalized our prototype and here are the results. Our very own Superior track frameset.

Key features: Tight geometry, super stiff, really fast! The stiffness is the biggest difference between the 1993 Cannondale and our Superior track frame. With the double butted downtube it not only gives the frame a unique feature, it makes the frame much stiffer and turns it into an up to date 2013 machine but keeping the traditional looks of the 90ies.Although our Superior has 85% of the looks of the traditional 1993 Cannondale, our Superior frame was developed with features in mind for use on the road and for on the track.

SUPERIOR2013 TRACK

Our Superior Frame is build with double butted 6061 oversized aluminum tubing. Together with a smooth welding construction the frame resembles the uniqueness of the 1993 Cannondale track. The 6061 oversized tubing was chosen to optimize the 'energy to speed' transfer. It's designed to take on the most demanding conditions, either on the track or on the streets. The oversized downtube has an elliptical cross section making the frame extremely stiff. The compact geometry is developed to take on high stress while transferring energy in the most efficient way possible. In other words, the Superior is built for speed. Riders with high demands will love the frame geometry. The Superior is a highly responsive ride and unique in it's kind.

The 1 inch head tube and 1 inch fork gives the frame it's classic look while still having the best of today's technology. The main advantage of the classic fork is that it gives a smooth ride on the track as on the streets.

We like to keep our frames simple and clean therefore the Superior only carries a non removable head badge to keep the frame as clean as possible, but still giving it a Pristine personality.

Our dropouts are made of reinforced stainless steel making them strong and durable. All our frames are hand build to the highest standards. Available in one color that we like to call: Thunderstorm Blue

GEOMETRY

SUPERIORCOMPLETE BUILD

We offer our Superior in two complete builds. One with a Miche Primato Pista Groupset making it fully track/fixed. The other option is with the Miche Xpress Groupset making it a complete single speed. The Miche Primato Pista Groupset has been a highly appreciated groupset for years. Not only used for on the track but also used by loads of messengers/fixed gear riders around the world for day-by-day use. High quality components to give the Superior not only a superior look but also making it a superior ride.The Miche Express Groupset is the road version of the Pista Groupset with some small modifications like machined sidewalls on the wheelset. The set has a front- and rear-brake and a more classic crankset.The pictures in this lookbook show the Miche Primato Pista Groupset. Pedals are not included in the build due to personal riding styles. Our pedal options can be found under ‘Pricing’. LIMITED EDITIONThe first 10 (pre-) orders will get the Limited Edition Superior which has a white San Marco x Pristine Concor saddle and white Fizik handlebar tape.STANDARD EDITIONThe Standard Edition comes with a black Velo saddle and black Keirin grips.
