ObjectivesThe practitioner will be able to:
Know how to identify children who may be privately fostered from overseas and who are highly unlikely to register with the Local Authority Understand types of private fostering into the UK Understand issues of parental consent and child view Understand how to gather information about family overseas Understand the process involved in working with country of origin Understand legal and immigration issues in relation to children who are privately fostered and may be visa overstayers Understand their duties and responsibilities towards children who may have been privately fostered from overseas Understand how to return and reintegrate privately fostered children to their family and/or country of origin
