Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC is one of the leading manufacturers of electrical-generating equipment of lower and medium capacity ranges and traction equipment for railroad transportation. It is the leader in supplying of equipment for oil and gas production and transportation applications. Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC provides over 1,500 electrical machines and associated control equipment – Turbogenerators, hydraulic generators, synchronous and asynchronous motors, and traction electrical equipment. Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC produces over 150 medium and large electrical machines of 2 – 300 MW power range annually.

PRODUCTS:Turbogenerators

Power Output range – 1.5 - 160 MW � for electrical energy generation based on the steam and gas turbines applications. The Turbogenerators have enhanced efficiency and advanced technical

design.

Hydraulic turbines generators

Power Output range – up to 300 MW � for electrical energy generation based on the hydraulic turbines applications.

Hydraulic turbines of wide power output range, with both vertical and horizontal design and are manufactured according to GOST 5616 89 and customer’s specific technical requirements.

Synchronous motors

Capacity range 0.315 – 31.5 MW � for pump drives, compressor drives, gas blowers, air blowers and other high-speed equipment applications; � specialized compressor motors with a range of 0.315 - 1 MW; � specialized motors for excavators with a range of 0.6 - 1 MW.

Asynchronous motors

Capacity range – 6.5 KW – 12.5 MW, rotation speed - 115 - 8 600 rpm � for pump drives, ventilators, smoke exhausters, air blowers, air cooling machines, and other applications; � for nuclear plants.

Horizontal and vertical motors are produced for various climate conditions, with explosion protection.

Electrical gas-pumping units (EGPU) and sets of materiel equipment for EGPU revamp

Capacity range – 4.0 – 8.2 MW rotation speed – 8000 – 10000 rpm. � for natural gas compression and transportation through main gas pipelines.

High-speed, gearless, and frequency-regulated gas-pumping units with the rotors on magnetic bearings.

The electric energy consumed by our gas-pumping units is lower by about 30% compare to the equipment provided by other manufacturers. The customer’s capital costs and installation costs are also reduced. The gas pumps can operate in a wide range of ambient conditions – from -60 to +45°C.

Traction electrical equipment

Certification of management system and products

Integrated management system, built on the principles established by three international standards has been introduced in the company:- Quality management system, complying with ISO 9001:2008; - Environmental management system, complying with ISO 14001:2001; - Safety and health management system, complying with OHSAS 18001:2007.As for production of electrical equipment for the rolling stock of railways, the quality management system of Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC has a certificate of conformity with the requirements of GOST R ISO 9001:2008. Products of the company, subject to mandatory certification according to the Russian legislation, have conformity certificates. We have a license for fabrication of products for nuclear power plants and a certificate of the equipment conformity with the operating conditions of JSC Gazprom facilities.Electrotyazhmash-Privod LLC cooperates with the independent inspector – World Group Bureau Veritas General Conditions. Products are voluntarily certified on the customer’s request.

4. GENERATOR ExCITATION CONTROL SYSTEMS

4.1. Synchronous generator excitation control systems with brushless exciters SHUVG

A SHUVG control system ensures the supply of automatically controlled direct current power to the excitation coil of synchronous generators brushless exciters.

Control system for exciter SHUVG (generator excitation control systems) is designed for: � automatic current control of brushless exciters of synchronous generators; � implementation of control functions and data; � connections to the top-level of control; � interaction with an operator; � excitation system and generator equipment protection (off-design operation protection of the brushless exciter, overload protection of the generator rotor,

protection of the generator from voltage rise and underfrequency of the stator).

SHUVG-200 Nf4 is designed for control of exciter of synchronous generators GTG, TK, and K with the capacity up to 12 MW.

SHUVG-220 Nf4, SHUVG -240 Nf4 is designed for control of brushless exciter of synchronous generators GTG, KT, T and TS with the capacity up to 25 MW.

Manufactured in compliance with GOST 21558 2009 and customer’s specific technical requirements.

5. TURBOGENERATOR LIfE SUPPORT SYSTEMS

5.1. Air cleaner and air recirculation unit

The air cleaner and air recirculation unit is designed to run in conjunction with TK-series open loop ventilation turbogenerators, and serves to clean and pre-heat air flowing into the generator.

The air flowing into the generator is heated by means of utilizing heat removed from operational losses. The cooling air recirculation system ensures generator start-up and operations within a temperature range of 60°C below zero to 5°C above zero.

RVSD-14000-2R Nf4 electric motor with open loop type ventilation is a part of frequency regulated electric drive feeding from the thyristor frequency converter. It is designed to drive centrifugal mechanisms in explosion hazard zones of the 1st and 2nd class under Russian GOST 51330.9 50 or 60 Hz AC three phase power supply.

Electric motor of this type can be used at pumping plants of oil-trunk pipelines or compressor plants at gas pipe lines instead of gas-turbine motors (as an alternative to gas turbine motors with lower efficiency).

The particular feature of RVSD-14000-2R Nf4 is than it is possible to regulate Rotation speed from 50% to 105% (1,500-3,150 rpm), that allows supporting the required pressure in the oil pipeline and excluding excess demand energy.

TRN-1P-xxx-YYY-Nf4 thyristor voltage regulator is designed for supplying regulated three phase voltage to stator coil of a brushless asynchronous exciter for synchronous motors STDP, STD, SDN with the capacity up to 12,500 kW for operation in the local control mode or for external setting from frequency converter (VFD).

TRN 1P regulator ensures the following motor operation modes: � voltage boosting in the manual regulation mode within the maximum output voltage. Excitation boosting operates in case of voltage drop on the motor stator

below the setting; � local control of the voltage setting in the whole regulation range; � voltage setting control on the basis of the external setting; � operability in case of short-term (not more than 60 s) change in the mains voltage within 50 - 140%; � relay boosting time limitation.

During operation in the remote control mode, regulator TRN 1 P ensures maintenance of the voltage in line with the external setting, e.g. from VFD.

Selection between the local and remote operation modes is effected with a switch on the front panel of the TRN 1P cabinet.
