During a Marathon 18 hours of lectures on the “Five Core Principles of Sustainability”, Dr. Michael Ben-Eli, founder of the Sustainability Laboratory, launched the annual

sustainability prize program at EARTH University. Over 80

participating fourth year students were divided in two

groups, each meeting for a full day.

The first annual prize of $10,000 which has been funded by

the Lab, will be awarded during graduation ceremonies, on

December 2009, to a graduation project which best

embodies the Lab's Sustainability Principles. The program

is developed in collaboration with Professors Bert Kohlmann

and Irene Alvarado at EARTH.
