Step 1: Important Points
• It’s impossible to focus on 2 things simultaneously –
we’re forced to choose one or the other
• Our EMOTIONS tell us how we’re focusing our energy
– NEGATIVE EMOTIONS are just as important as POSITIVE EMOTIONS (if not more)
• NEGATIVE EMOTION means that you're FOCUSING
ENERGY on what you DON’T WANT and not on what
you DO WANT

• Determine if the PROBLEM is “ REAL” or NOT
• Key Questions:
– Why does the SHOULD exist? (Who Cares and Why?)
– Is ACTUAL factual? (how do you know it’s true?)

How was the COMPARISON made? (Apples to Apples?)• If answers are CRYSTAL CLEAR then the problem
is probably REAL!

• Determine if you have “ CONTROL” or NOT
• You have CONTROL if you can CHANGE the
SHOULD, ACTUAL or COMPARISON

Change the one(s) that’s win-win for ALL! – If you can only change the ACTUAL, then take
immediate action– Getter Done!

• No CONTROL means let go and ride the path of least resistance (be part of NATURE) – A “Do Nothing Situation” (the problem will resolve itself)
– Lessons come to those who don’t recognize they have no
control!• Always remember that you can control what you
focus on!
