Introduction
Mobile device operating systems has undoubtedly affected the society greatly, ever since the inception of mobile devices that could perform tasks and commands which were expected of desktop computers, various companies have sprung up with mobile operating system that have evidently eased the way people perform tasks and do things.
This in turn has forced individuals to take sides on which devices to put up with hence it has the operating system that suits them.
An operating system (OS) is software that manages computer hardware and software resources and provides common services for computer programs. The operating system is an essential component of the system software in a computer system. [Application programs usually require an operating system to function.]

Introduction
As individuals defend why they prefer certain devices against others based i their operating systems, to some it is more of a show off of class and status. These operating systems range from Google Android, Apple iOS, Microsoft Windows Mobile, Palm Os‘, Nokia Symbian and the BlackBerry OS platform. Everyone now belongs to a dynasty of Operating System, but this could be salvaged if a bridge of communication handshake is created across these platforms.

Operating systems preference and varieties does not only affect the end users whose unlimited demands from a mobile but also application developers.

Firstly the development circle has limited lots of end users from accessing or using most apps some other operating system has it supports, this is as a result of required excessive programming efforts by the developers as they tend to develop multiple apps for as many mobile operating systems out there from the scratch. Most times individuals are forced to change operating systems or developers are forced to discontinue development,

These operating systems always have a monopoly for their brother devices as they barely communicate with other operating systems. a good example is the iPhone which runs the Apple iOS and the Samsung mobiles that run the Google Android OS; native communication has limited the way people do things as everyone now resorts to emailing and file hosting services as against offline Bluetooth or Wi-Fi data transfer.

More so the era of social media has greatly influenced individuals and their take in mobile operating systems. It’s more of a show off or Status symbol and class as wealthy people are known for flaunting trending apple products or high end mobile devices. Tech individuals are concerned with the constant upgrade of their Operating Systems and tweaks while social media concerned individuals are known for having more than enough social apps.
