8e&era! decades ago I made three "or#bench dra"ers using my ne" do&etai! temp!ate. I recent!y b!e" the

cob "ebs from the temp!ate) found my instructions and attempted to ma#e some ne" do&etai!s for a piece of furniture. he manua! said use a 1:0,; pi!ot bushing "ith a depth of cut of 0*:/';. 5nfortunate!y) "ith the

do&etai! bit I had) the sma!!est depth of cut is about 0:'; before the bit interferes "ith the I< of the pi!ot

bushing. I =appro-imate!y measured the ang!e of the =decades o!d do&etai!s to be 00. degrees2 they "ere

made "ith Craftsman bit '**/0 "ith no ang!e specified. 6y current bit "as measured to be 0'. degrees.

8ince 0@ degrees is a common do&etai! bit) perhaps 0@ degrees is the correct ang!e2 the bit is Bosch *'@+.

In the attached photo) the Craftsman bit has the !onger shaft. ou can see that the "aist of the Craftsman bit

is sma!!er than the Bosch bit. Any suggestions on a "or# around using current!y a&ai!ab!e router bits "ou!d

be appreciated.

If you cannot !ocate your origina! o!der bit) or find an a!ternate bit on the "eb) it may be time to in&est in a

ne"er do&etai! temp!ate) I be!ie&e there are a number of ine-pensi&e mode!s on the mar#et at the moment.

It may be a "ise in&estment in the ;piece of furniture;
