I. DESCRIPTION
This document explains how to install Pulse Secure VPN Application on personal MacOS
computer to remotely connect to your WTO computer, as if you are sitting in front of
your WTO computer.
The benefit of using this is that it`s easier, faster and have options to suspend/resume
session. This is recommended for users who access the WTO network frequently from
the same computer.
II. FIRST TIME CONNECTION SETUP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Install "Microsoft Remote Desktop 10" by using App Store.
2. Open "Microsoft Remote Desktop" application. Then add "Desktop" by clicking
"+" and then "Desktop" buttons:

3. Write your WTO Computer name as "PC Name":
NOTE: We will use Microsoft Remote Desktop after installing Pulse Secure. Please keep
open this application and start installing Pulse Secure.
Steps to find your WTO computer name, check the properties of your WTO computer
open the file explorer and right click "This PC" and then click "Properties".
Compuer name is your WTO computer name: note down to get remote desktop connection from personal computer:

Alternate way to find WTO computer name:
Click on start type cmd click on command 'hostname'
4. Download the Pulse Secure VPN client from http://vpndocs.wto.org
5. Install the Pulse Secure VPN client from your "Downloads" directory. Double click
.dmg file:
Double click "PulseSecure.pkg":
Click "Continue" and finish installation:

6. In Menu Bar, the Pulse Secure VPN client icon should be available:

Click on the Pulse Secure Icon and press on "Open Pulse Secure":
7. In the Pulse Secure window, click on the "+" to create a new connection:
Type = Policy Secure (UAC) or Connect Secure (VPN)
Name = iconnect
Server URL = https://iconnect.wto.org
Click on "Add".
8. Start the secure connection by click on "Connect":

9. When prompted for your credentials, enter your WTO user name and password
and then click on "Connect":
10. You will be prompted for your token, type it and click on "Connect":
11. If you are connected, the Pulse Secure VPN client icon should look like this in the
Menu Bar:
Note: During the VPN session, Internet Access on your MacOS device will continue to
work. For security reasons, all internet traffic will pass through the WTO network,
which might cause some slowness in internet browsing and some sites could be blocked.
Personal Wi-Fi printers on your MacOS device will be disabled for security reasons.
Suspend the VPN connection for temporary use of local printers and resume to connect
VPN session. USB printers can be mapped.
Connect USB printer to Remotely connected WTO computer:
Microsoft Remote Desktop 10 > Printers should be ticked in the Devices and Audio
Settings.

Connect USB printer to VDI:
VDI console > Preference > Devices > When a session starts, connect devices
automatically should be ticked.

If internet access not working with the Pulse Secure connected, please check the
'proxy settings', as follows:
On MacOS:
Open System Preference-> Network ->Wi-Fi->Advanced…->Proxies-> check Auto
Proxy Discovery.
12. Open Microsoft Remote Desktop application and double click saved desktop. It will
prompt to enter WTO username and password. Please write username as
cwr\username and then enter password.

It may prompt alert about certificate if this is the first time you access your PC. Click
"Continue":
13. When you are done working, log off from your Windows session.
14. Finally, disconnect yourself from the VPN connection via the Pulse Secure client:

III. SUBSEQUENT CONNECTIONS INSTRUCTIONS
15. Open Pulse Secure client, in Menu Bar, the Pulse Secure VPN client icon should be
available:

Click on the Pulse Secure Icon and press on "Open Pulse Secure":
16. Start the secure connection by click on "Connect":
17. When prompted for your credentials, enter your WTO user name and password
and then click on "Connect":
