PROCEDURE for FAMILY DAY OF TOTAL CONSECRATION
to Jesus thru Mary (TC JM) (2016 Nov. 4, Feast of St. Charles Borromeo)
You can do this as an individual but the best is to do it with your whole family.
Jesus, Mary and Joseph, lead us to Heaven, our family’s goal!
1. Pray TC JM daily, best upon waking up.
2. Get the following set of 2 books for your family or each member of your family: Book 1:The Cities of Mary by Architect Marie Borromeo Cancio Book 2:33 Days Preparation for Total Consecration according to St. Louis Marie de Montfort (Entrance into the City of Mary) by Architect Marie Borromeo Cancio
3. Choose your Family Day of TC JM, preferably a feast of Mama Mary (see Book 2, pages 14-‐15 for list of Marian feast days for your Family day of TC JM and Day 1 to start your 33-‐days preparation before your Family Day of TC JM).
4. *Prepare for 33 days for your Family Day of TC JM (the 34th day), preferably a Marian feastday by: a. Readings from Book 1 (see List of Readings for Book 1 on the next page) b. Reading and prayers from Book 2.
5. Go to Confession (if you are a Catholic) or recite the Prayer for Plenary Indulgence for 7 days (if you are not a Catholic) before your Family Day of TC JM.
6. On your Family Day of TC JM (34th Day): Go to Holy Mass, receive Holy Communion with the intention of consecrating yourself to Jesus thru Mary as His slave of love. Pray TC JM after Communion or right after Holy Mass. Sign your name and write the date on your copy of TC JM. Offer Jesus and Mary a tribute, ex. fasting, self-‐denial, alms, etc.
7. Renew yearly: do nos. 4 to 6 above.
8. Live TC JM by dying to yourself and living only to make Jesus happy. Do “everything through Mary, with Mary, in Mary, and for Mary, in order to do it more perfectly through Jesus, with Jesus, in Jesus, and for Jesus.” (St. Montfort, True Devotion, no. 257) Repeat “Totus Tuus” or the short act of TC JM many times a day to maintain that loving surrender and union with Jesus, who is your Love, Peace, and Joy.

If there are no more days left before your Day 1, you can follow this guide for Book 1 readings.
