How to set up Zones within a worksite (e.g. construction site)
using SafeEntry NRIC
Naming Zones within your worksite (Optional)
• Implementation of SafeEntry NRIC is mandatory at the main entrances/exits of worksites for access control. For zonings within the site, the main contractor may opt to use any system they have already
implemented, e.g. colour-coded uniforms, SE-QR system, or other systems.
• In SafeEntry NRIC, different zones within a worksite* can be implemented by designating entrance/exit points for each zone to scan the NRIC/FIN for every person who enter/exit the zone.
• E.g. you can name your Zone entrances and exits as follows: “Zone 1- Entrance”, “Zone 1- Exit”, “Zone 2”, “Zone 3”, “Level 5”, “Level 6”, etc.
• There is no limit to the number of entrances/exit points per worksite
• Ensure that the naming for each entrance/exit is consistent throughout, even when the staff/guard is rotated, as it will be captured in the entry/exit records.
How to set up Zones within a worksite (e.g. construction site) using SafeEntry NRIC
Branch code is unique for each worksite. Refer to this section to learn more about “How to find your branch code”
When staff/guard start SafeEntry for NRIC/FIN, they need to enter Name for entrance/exit point, e.g. “Main Gate”, “Zone 1”, “Zone2”, “Zone3”, “Level 5”, “Level 6”, etc.
The naming must be consistent throughout, even when the staff/guard is rotated, as it will be captured in entry/exit records.
