PowerCat 6A U/UTP CMP/CMR CablePowerCat 6A U/UTP cable is capable of supporting 10GBASE-T applications and features a unique Isolation Wrap design, containing discontinuous sections of metallized material, held in place by a polymeric layer that delivers excellent alien crosstalk (AXT) protection.

The product features a low outside diameter of 0.25” nominal (CMP) or 0.275” nominal (CMR) allowing for easier, more efficient installation and cable management. ModLink Cassettes provide a cost-effective, quick and easy fiber system, for backbone and to-the-desk applications. 12 and 24 Port LC ModLink Cassettes provide premium factory-controlled optical performance, enabling flexible system configuration and fast,economical installation. The cassettes are low loss ready, ideal for 40G/100G providing consistent and error free performance. Simply plug the cable into the rear of the unit and the link is operational - an excellent solution for fast-track installations.

Product Features

Compactly sized, individual ModLink cassettes simply click into Molex’s range of rack mount fiber management panels and enclosures, providing up to 96 ports in a 1U rack space. They offer front port identification plus labeling field on the cassette top for fiber documentation. Cables utilize OFNP or LS0H rated round loose tube cable featuring a flexible outer jacket that is easy to bend, route and install.

Supports all major fiber connector technologies

The ModLink system is available to support LC, SC, or MT-RJ fiber connectivity. Providing up to 24 fiber ports in each cassette, the SC and LC range are designed to adhere to TIA/EIA 568-C.3, ISO/IEC 11801 and AS/NZS 3080 international fiber performance standards, the ModLink system supports OM1, OM2, OM3, OM4, OS1 and OS2 fiber applications

ModLink Cables

ModLink and OFNP rated cables are factory terminated on both ends with MPO connectors for maximum fiber density. The round, flexible outer jacket is easy to bend, route and install. The cable offers standard and industry-leading low insertion loss (0.35dB maximum insertion loss for (laser Optimized) OM3/4 cables and OS1/2 cables, 0.10dB typical) varieties. ModLink advanced fiber optic cables are 100% tested.

DataGate™ 4 Pair Termination ToolThe Molex DataGate 4 Pair Termination Tool is a robust and reliable product that offers faultless gas-tight terminations of all four pairs simultaneously. The tool frame is manufactured from high grade steel with die-cast termination heads. Designed specifically for use with Molex DataGate™, MOD-Clip™ and Keystone style jacks, the 4 Pair Termination Tool Frame is supplied unloaded into which either the UTP Termination Head (for termination of the UTP DataGate and Keystone jacks) or the C6A Termination Head (for termination of the C6A shielded DataGate and MOD-Clip jacks) is fitted.

Operation is simple and efficient. The jack is placed over the four cables that have been securely seated in the Termination Head.

The Termination Head and jack are then pivoted into the cutting position and the handles depressed, resulting in cables that are firmly and accurately seated and neatly trimmed in one simple operation.
