XP-pumps- how to change the direction of rotation

The XP-pumps are supplied from factory ready for clockwise rotation (CW).

To determine the correct direction of rotation of the pump, you have to determine the direction of rotation of the PTO seen against the mounting flange. The direction of rotation of the pump must be the opposite of that of the PTO.

To change the direction of rotation of the pump, remove the screw (pos. 25) to a new position diagonally opposite the original position.

Then fit the suction socket on the port, where the screw is not fitted! The suction socket cannot be fitted on the port, where the screw (pos. 25) is fitted, as the head of the screw is higher than the fitting level of the suction socket.

Only one tool is necessary to change the direction of rotation.

XP-pumps- by-pass valves

By-pass valve, 24V,for XP-pumps:

•BP12-63

•BP80-130

For XP-pumps mounted on a PTO which cannot be disengaged, HMF can supply by-pass valves for direct fitting on the suction and pressure ports.

These valves allow the continuous running of the pumps:• without problems occurring with superheating• without reducing the life span of the pumps.

The valves can be mounted without having to change the hydraulic system of the truck.

The by-pass valves are activated by 24 V.When not activated, a connection is opened between the pressure and suctions ports. The flow of the pumps is in an internal circuit.When activated, the pumps operate as usual.

TXV92 and 120-pump- volume reduction

TXV92 is adjustable from 32.5 to 92 ccm.TXV120 is adjustable from 38.5 to 120 ccm.

1 turn of screw = 8 ccm volume reduction.

Alternatively the reduced pump volume can be determined by measuring the insert depth of the volume reduction screw, ΔX mm.The insert depth is the difference between the factory setting (X1) and the reduced length (X2).

For safety reasons and in order to provide the hydraulic system with the optimal working conditions, a "closed-center" hydraulic system must be equipped with a relief valve on the pressure pipe. If a Danfoss PVSK-valve is connected to the variable flow pump, the relief valve should be fitted externally on the pressure pipe.

The pressure setting must be at least 25 bar higher than the max. permissible pressure setting of the variable flow pump to avoid unintended leakage over the relief valve.

HMF hydraulic hoses

HMF hose kits are supplied complete with hoses, fittings, clips, etc.

Hoses for connections are equipped with fixed connections in one end and loose connections in the other. The installer can then shorten the

hoses to the required length and fit the delivered separate press fitting.

Side mounted chassis tanks incl. tank suspension, filters, suction socket and oil level indicator.

Optional fitting in the right or the left side.

The tanks are designed to withstand the influence of extreme weather and road conditions that may occur while the truck is driving.

The upper surface is sloped to allow easier access for servicing the return filter.

Big and clear oil level indicator with thermometer for indicating the oil temperature.

Suction socket for both 2" and 2½" suction hoses.

Net tank capacity:•75, 100, 150 and 200 litres

External finish:Phosphate treatment cleaning, zinc primer and powder coating in dark grey colour (RAL 7021).

Internally: Extended oil diffuser and deflector prevent air from entering the pump.Vacuum cleaned and corrosion protected by means of Dinitrol treatment.Tank lengths are

HMF hydraulic tanks- side protection

Kit for side protection for fitting on the hydraulic tank when it is fitted level to the other tanks of the truck in the right side.

The side protection increases the vertical surface of the tank to make it comply with the current requirements for statutory side protection.

The HMF side protection kits are made of aluminium profiles and supplied in lengths that fit the different tank volumes.

The side protection is mounted by means of the clip of the tank.
