The ROCOL SAPPHIRE bearing grease range will provide effectivelong term lubrication and meet the ever increasing needs of today’sproduction environment.

There are 13 key greases under the SAPPHIRE banner designed toencompass the widest possible range of industrial operatingconditions. SAPPHIRE bearing greases provide industry with aneasily identifiable range of high performance lubricants, which havebeen developed to extend bearing life, provide superior corrosionprotection and to be suitable for all bearing types.

SAPPHIRE 2“SAPPHIRE 2 lasts 3 times longer than conventional multi-purpose bearing greases.” Thisrevolutionary high performance multi-purpose, multi-complex soap grease has excellentload carrying capability and corrosion resistant properties and will significantly extendrelubrication intervals. Temperature range -30ºC to +150ºC. NLGI 2. The blue colourenables easy identification in use.

SAPPHIRE 1SAPPHIRE 1 has all of the performance characteristics of SAPPHIRE 2 and isrecommended for remote lubrication or long pipe run applications. Temperature range-30ºC to +150ºC. NLGI 1.

SAPPHIRE 000SAPPHIRE 000 is recommended and approved for use in centralised lubrication systemsand for grease filled gearboxes. Temperature range -30ºC to 100ºC. NLGI 000.

SAPPHIRE AQUA 2A soap thickened bearing grease designed to give excellent resistance to water washout.SAPPHIRE AQUA 2 will provide exceptional corrosion protection and long term lubricationfor bearings that are operating in water or subjected to continual washing by water.Temperature range -20ºC to +150ºC. NLGI 2.

SAPPHIRE AQUA-SILA silicone grease with excellent high temperature resistance. UK Water Byelaws Schemeapproved for use with potable water. Good resistance to chemicals, oils, water and gases.Does not affect most rubbers and plastics. SAPPHIRE AQUA-SIL is recommended for longterm lubrication of bearings, slides and valves operating in extremes of temperature wherecontamination by chemicals, oil or potable water is possible. SAPPHIRE ENDUREA perfluorinated polyether (PFPE) grease, thickened with PTFE. Provides long termlubrication of bearings, slides, small gears, chains and valves operating in aggressiveenvironments such as high temperatures, or where contamination by chemicals or solvents is possible. Temperature range: -25ºC to +280ºC. NLGI 2.

SAPPHIRE EXTREMEA semi-synthetic grease containing molybdenum disulphide which provides excellentresistance to high temperature, heavy loading and vibration. SAPPHIRE EXTREME issuitable for both plain and antifriction bearings. Temperature range -10ºC to +235ºC(intermittent temperatures to +250ºC). NLGI 2/3.

SAPPHIRE HI-LOAD 2A multi complex soap thickened grease formulated to provide protection against heavyloads and vibration. SAPPHIRE HI-LOAD 2 contains molybdenum disulphide and willextend relubrication intervals. Suitable for all bearing types. Temperature range -30ºC to+150ºC. NLGI 2.

SAPPHIRE HI-PRESSUREA clay thickened grease containing a high level of molybdenum disulphide suitable for thelubrication of plain bearings operating under heavy loading. SAPPHIRE HI-PRESSURE willreduce wear and offers excellent corrosion protection. Temperature range -20ºC to+150ºC. NLGI 2.

SAPPHIRE HI-SPEEDA unique synthetic based soap grease which extends the boundaries of high speedgreases. SAPPHIRE HI-SPEED has a maximum speed rating of 1.25 x 106 DmN coupledwith excellent load carrying capacity and is recommended for use on machine toolspindles, textile spinning machines, aerospace and other high speed bearing applications.Temperature range -40ºC to +120ºC. ANTI-SEIZE PRODUCTS

Seizure of fasteners presents a major inconvenience in many repairand maintenance situations, adding to both the time and cost of thejob. ROCOL provide a range of premium quality anti-seize productswhich will protect fasteners against wet, dirty and hot conditions aswell as from chemical attack, easing future dismantling therebyreducing downtime and costs.

ANTI-SEIZE COMPOUNDA copper based anti-seize paste containing a high level of metallic and lubricating solids.Use to prevent galling and seizure of screws, bolts, studs and other static threadedfasteners particularly those subject to wet conditions and high temperatures. Temperaturerange -10ºC to +1100ºC.

ANTI-SEIZE SPRAYCopper based aerosol applied anti-seize lubricant - similar to Anti-Seize Compound. Useto protect all kinds of threaded components where the convenience of aerosol applicationis preferred. Temperatures up to +1100ºC.

ANTI-SEIZE STAINLESSHigh temperature metal free anti-seize paste - provides anti-seize properties across a widetemperature range and where low sulphur and chlorine levels are essential. Particularlysuited for use on stainless steel and nimonic fasteners. Temperature range -40ºC to+1000ºC. Approved to Rolls Royce MSRR 4008.

PENETRATING SPRAYPowerful jet spray of penetrating oil containing MoS2 (moly) helps release seizedcomponents affected by rust, dirt or scale and provides lubrication during dis-assembly.Film protects against damage and further corrosive attack.


WIRE ROPE LUBRICANTS

Wire ropes are frequently required to operate in the most severeconditions, often constantly exposed to the elements. ROCOL wirerope lubricants are designed to penetrate to the rope core,protecting and lubricating inside and out to extend safe workinglife, reducing unplanned down time and replacement costs.

WIRE ROPE DRESSINGA tenacious, semi-fluid, non-melting grease, containing MoS2 (moly) which penetrates tothe rope core providing excellent lubricity and high load carrying capabilities. Repels waterand protects against corrosion, even in sea water environments. Easily applied by brush -even at low temperatures. Use on all non-friction drive type ropes in hostile conditions ondrag lines, cranes, derricks, submersible platforms, steelworks equipment, tower cranes,excavators, etc. Temperature range -30ºC to +100ºC.

WIRE ROPE SPRAYAerosol applied wire rope lubricant containing MoS2 (moly) and other anti-wear additives.Leaves a film which gives similar operating characteristics to ROCOL WIRE ROPEDRESSING. Temperature range -30ºC to +100ºC.

WIRE ROPE FLUIDDewatering rope lubricant in solvent base which evaporates to leave a long lastingprotective film containing MoS2 (moly) similar to ROCOL WIRE ROPE DRESSING. Appliedby compressed air spray, brush or swab. Suitable for application to wet ropes.Temperature range -30ºC to +100ºC.

BIOGEN ROPE GUARDA solvent free, semi-fluid rope dressing. It is formulated to penetrate to thecore of all wire ropes and give excellent lubrication and corrosion protection.The product also repels water, making it particularly suitable for areas ofextreme water contamination. BIOGEN ROPE GUARD has been developed toensure 100% biodegradability and relies on micro-organisms to assist in thedegradation process. Temperature range -30˚C to +100˚C.

COLD GALVANISING SPRAYA thin zinc rich film providing long term corrosion protection. Use in severe conditions.Ideal for repairing/patching up damaged galvanised surfaces.

HEAVY DUTY RUSTSHIELD SPRAYThin waxy film giving extended corrosion protection - even in the most severe conditions,also provides residual lubrication for assembly etc. Use to protect metal parts storedoutdoors, in transit or indoors under severe corrosive conditions for extended periods.Ideal for the protection of machines and equipment shipped overseas.

MOISTURE GUARD SPRAY & FLUID(GREEN/CLEAR)Almost dry film which is easily handled, protects against fingerprint corrosion and alsoprovides residual lubrication for assembly. Displaces moisture - particularly effective inhumid conditions and where condensation is a problem. Use for medium/long term indoorcorrosion protection of bright metal components and mould tools during storage orshutdown.

METALGUARDA corrosion protective for the temporary indoor protection of components such as gears,pressings and any machined metal components which require protection from corrosion -whether in storage, transit or between operations.

TUFSHIELDA heavy duty ‘high cling’ grease designed to protect all metals under the severestconditions of erosion and corrosion. It is particularly effective in areas subject to flooding,repeated forceful washdowns and marine environments.

MT-LM ASSEMBLY AND RUNNING-IN PASTEA soft, greasy paste with a high content of MoS2 (moly) giving a thin lubricating film whichresists high loads and prevents seizure and galling. Use during the assembly ofinterference fits, also acts as an anti-seize to facilitate dismantling and adjustment.Temperature range up to +450ºC.

OXYLUBE SPRAYAn aerosol applied, thin lubricating film of MoS2 (moly) which is bonded with an inorganicagent. Use particularly in oxygen or vacuum environments or where components may beaffected by chemicals, solvents or petroleum based products. Temperature range up to+450ºC.

Provide either a totally or almost dry thin MoS2 (moly) film ofexceptionally high load carrying strength for application in areaswhere conventional lubricants fail or are inappropriate. Typicallythese products are used to prevent galling and pick up onassembly, to avoid contamination of a finished product or tolubricate in very arduous conditions.

GASSEALOff white non-setting jointing compound with good adhesion and gap filling properties.Gasseal is unaffected by vibration but can be easily released. PIPESEAL LIQUIDA clean and easy to use alternative to PTFE tape. A white sealant containing finelydispersed PTFE which form flexible pressure tight seals on threaded pipes, lubricatesduring assembly, resists vibration and temperature changes. Suitable for use in a widerange of applications including air, water, gas, oils and commonly used industrial solvents.
