Smileloc® technology brings an innovative cement and screw-free retrievable solution to implant dentistry. Using Smileloc®, clinicians have predictable control over occlusion and retrievability of the restoration while eliminating the screw access hole and the potential for residual cement.

The Technology

STEP 1

Place RODO® AbutmentCompatible with major implant systems.

STEP 2

Try-in CrownConfirm color, contours, emergence profile, interproximal contacts and occlusion.

STEP 3

Seat Smileloc®

Inner Smileloc arms engage the abutment.

STEP 4

Place the CrownOuter Smileloc arms engage the inside of the coping, securing the crown onto the abutment. There is no cement cleanup, and no screw access hole to fill.

Smileloc®

The Smileloc® is made from nitinol which is a commonly used material in the medical industry. The unique “memory” characteristics of this alloy initiates reshaping of the Smileloc® when heat is applied. The Smileloc® is delivered in a “locked” position with its eight arms (four inner and four outer) ready for placement on the abutment for final seating of the restoration. When positioned with Smileloc Seater, the four inner arms of the Smileloc® lock under the top of the abutment while the four outer arms lock the coping of the crown in place.

Smilekey®

The Smilekey® is used to remove prostheses retained by the Smileloc® without occlusal holes or damaging the prostheses. The Smilekey® unlocks the Smileloc® by delivering energy (heat) for a preset time causing the Smileloc® to reach its designated activation temperature. Smilekey® is provided non-sterile and contains rechargeable lithium battery.

• Implant can be angled up to 10 degrees off the interproximal surfaces of the adjacent teeth.• A minimum vertical space of 7mm from the top of the implant to the plane of occlusion is required for Zirconia or Emax crowns, unless, a

metal occlusal is desired. Reference vertical heights of copings above.
