ENGINE MANAGEMENT
The M1 magnesium alloy casings are robust,Lightweight and well suited to motorsport use.They are incredibly compact to suit a wide
range of applications and are speciallyfinished for maximum heat dissipation.
DATA LOGGING
n many applications the M1 ECU can control both engine and chassis,as well as being a fully featured data logger.
All models feature a large logging memory and options for advancedeatures such as high speed logging (up to 1 kHz), multiple independentogging systems with separate security.
The M1 series uses the acclaimed i2 Standard or i2 Proanalysis software, providing extensive data analysisfeatures. (See www.motec.com/i2)
Within the M1 ECU there are 3 levels of data logging available. All
ECUs come with basic diagnostic logging, Level 2 increases this to
00 channels at 200Hz and Level 3 increases this to 1000 channels
at 1000Hz.

SECURITY
The M1 ECU allows different levels of access for different users
e.g. engine tuner, chassis tuner, data engineer, and scrutineer.Each user can have a separate login to restrict access to particularareas of tuning and data logging.
The M1s advanced security system is based on public-keycryptography, the cornerstone of secure internet transactions, so it
s virtually impossible to change the ECU function without authorisedpermission. Security is enforced by the ECU and protected by amicroprocessor with integrated measures to prevent tampering.
RUGGEDISED M1 ECUS
Ruggedised versions are also available for where use is in extremeenironmental conditions or harsh terrain.
CATEGORY MANAGEMENT
The combination of an advanced security strategy, configurablefirmware and a high performance processor make the M1 ECU an ideal
choice for categories with restrictions in place for either performanceparity or cost containment. Firmware can be written specifically for the
category, limiting the functionality to the class requirements.
Multiple data logging sets are available which can be partitioned withrestricted access to allow generation of both judicial (scrutineering)
and team data from the same device.
The M1 ECUs security system prevents unauthorised access to dataand implementation of unspecified functionality.

M1 TUNE SOFTWARE
M1 Tune provides access to the tuning features of the M1 ECU. It is
highly flexible, allowing multiple, customised screen layouts similar tothe i2 Data Analysis software.
The program is unique in that it adapts to any customisations that
have been made to the ECU via the M1 Build software. As Tables,Parameters or Channels are added, M1 Tune automatically conforms to
provide access to these items.
It also features on screen logging whereby data from the ECU isautomatically recorded for quick and easy analysis directly on thetuning screens.

DEVELOPMENT FIRMWARE LICENCE
A Development Firmware Licence turns a regular M1 ECU into a fully
flexible M1 Development ECU that can be precisely tailored (using M1Build) to meet specific application requirements.
Customers with an M1 Build Development Licence can access and
modify a range of M1 Projects, develop their own control strategies,and onsell their finalised M1 Partner Package.
M1 BUILD SOFTWARE
M1 Build is, simply put, a revolution in engine managementcustomisation. No longer are you restricted to merely modifying the
parameters made available via a tuning application.
By investigating and experimenting with their own control strategiesand developing their own intellectual property, customers can gain a
distinct performance advantage and stay ahead of their opposition.
M1 Build customises the functionality of the ECU, providing an
unprecedented level of control. It allows the user to add Tables,Parameters and Channels and to enter Script that defines how theECU operates. The Script is a C like programming language that

This kit is a fully programmable replacement for the factory-fitted
engine ECU. No rewiring is necessary because the kit plugs straight
nto the stock wiring harness and uses the original sensors and fuel

M150 Toyota 86 2012 Plug-In ECU Kit
A licenced Toyota 86 2012 FA20D Package, together with an
activated M150 ECU and optional loom, combines to become a fully
programmable replacement for the factory-fitted Toyota 86 ECU.
Currently compatible with the Manual Transmission versions of the
following vehicles: Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ and Scion FR-S models from
2012 onward.
No rewiring is necessary with the optional loom, which plugs into the

VERSATILE M1 PACKAGES
MoTeCs GPAand GPRare versatile M1 Packagesfor the operationof port-injected engines. They can be configured to perform a vastarray of tasks, from a simple engine to a dual drive-by-wire quad cam
boosted engine with sequential gearbox and more.
Configurable Ref/Sync modes accommodate many modern engineriggering systems. These products also handle many modified
oad vehicle systems, such as air conditioning control and has fouradditional definable control outputs.
The GPA and GPR packages incorporate many features, such as PitSpeed Limiting, Switchable Fuel, Ignition and Boost Trimming, KnockControl, Intercooler Sprays, DBW and CAM Control. The GPR package
has in addition to that list, Traction Control. Gear Change Ignition Cut,Anti-Lag and Launch Control.
ECU Input and Output pin allocations can be user-defined to suit

There are two levels of analysis functionality; i2 Pro and i2

MoTeCs new D1 Series colour displays are designedo be display only devices, for applications wherenformation is being delivered by a control device. Such
hardware configurations are common in professionalapplications, where more capable devices arecommonly placed low and away from the driver, and acompact, lightweight display unit is all that is requiredup with the driver.
To help with the wiring in this layout, all of the D1 Series displays have
available in them at least 8 switch and dial inputs for driver controls.This allows easy connection of buttons and dials such as traction
control dials, brightness knobs, pit switches, headlight flash etc. This isespecially useful on the D153 where up to 14 buttons and dials can bewired on to a steering wheel, and sent on to a controlling device using
only the CAN wires.

ADR - Accident Data Recorder
The MoTeC Accident Data Recorder (ADR) records lateral, longitudinal
and vertical chassis G-force data during an accident. Readings aremade continuously (cyclic logging) to allow data capture immediatelyprevious to the event which triggered the logging.
The ADR is a standalone device that can be used in isolation or inconjunction with other devices such as a GPS, data logger or ECU. TheADR firmware can be customised to suit each application.

Live Gauges
The HD-VCS is currently the only system on the market with live gauges
hat require no post processing; by selecting to include gauges, theyare automatically overlaid onto the footage during the capture process.
Some other video systems require manual synchronization then a
engthy processing time to rewrite the video with gauges, usually as
ong as the original recording. So if a race goes for an hour, it can take
another hour (plus synchronization) to have a complete video. Imagine

Expansion Modules
These CAN-based Expansion Modules provide extra inputs and outputswhen connected to a logger or ECU. The E888 features 8 AV inputs and
8 thermocouple inputs with inbuilt amplifiers, whereas the E816 has 16AV inputs. Both feature extra digital inputs, and 8 outputs.
DBW-4 Drive By Wire Module
The DBW-4 works with M400/M600/M800/M880 ECUs running firmwareV3.30T and later, and provides 4 PID Controllers for drive by wire
control, or generic PID control for servo motors. The use of a DBW-
4 does not require a DBW upgrade in your ECU. Mating connectoravailable separately.
SVIM - Synchronised Versatile Input Module
The SVIM has eighteen 15bit inputs which sample at the same momentin time to give synchronised data of the highest integrity for use in
advanceced chassis and suspension analysis. Multiple SVIMs can besynchronised so that they sample all their 15 bit inputs at the same time
to aid in chassis analysis.

Knock Modules work with vehicle knock sensors to provide individual
cylinder closed loop knock control, allowing tuners to safely optimisehigh performance ignition maps. There is a standalone module and aversion specifically designed to mount onto an M800 Plug-In ECU. A

ndividual high energy CDI coils. Mating connector included.
The CDI/8 can be used as an ignition driver from an ECU to drive up to8 individual high energy CDI coils or can be used with external sensors
as a stand-alone system. As a stand-alone unit it can be programmedrom a PC running on its own dedicated sensors.
