They evaluated the time and money saved after installing complete Katch Kan RSS and ZSS Systems. Over a �ve month period Pemex saved over $78,000.00 in time and labour exclusively and $480,000.00 from capturing and reusing Drilling Fluid. During this study there was a Kick, when the Kick occurred that day on the PEMEX Rig the Katch Kan Zero Spill System did exactly what it was designed to do: all components working together captured the �uid and kept all personnel safe.PEMEX immediately issued a companywide endorsement of Katch Kan and works with Katch Kan through Matyep exclusively. Over the next �ve years all of the PEMEX O�shore and Land Rigs will be out�tted with Katch Kan’s complete RSS and ZSS systems as part of their proactive commitment to Saving Lives and the Environment. Putting it to the Test

A two-part study done for Pemex Exploration and Production (February, 2002) evaluated the time and monetary savings related to system installation, dismantling and fluid recuperation capability.

The findings indicated that over a 5-month period Pemex had saved a total of $78,540 (USD) in time and labor resources installing and dismantling a Zero Spill System™; simply through replacing their conventional steel trays. In terms of fluid recuperation, Pemex saved $483,740 (USD) as the system displayed full capability when an unforeseen kick occurred. The Zero Spill System™ resulted in maximizing personnel safety, fluid recapture and capability to get the well back under control.

Based on these results, Pemex Exploration and Production issued a company-wide endorsement (one of very few to be issued to a Canadian company).

A second study conducted by Jacques Whitford Environment (February, 2004), measured from a qualitative perspective the environmental, health & safety (EH&S), as well as economic benefits of the Zero Spill System™. The findings revealed that the system scored extremely well in all three categories. With 100% being the maximum potential attainment, performance was rated as follows:

Putting it to the Test

A two-part study done for Pemex Exploration and Production (February, 2002) evaluated the time and monetary savings related to system installation, dismantling and fluid recuperation capability.

The findings indicated that over a 5-month period Pemex had saved a total of $78,540 (USD) in time and labor resources installing and dismantling a Zero Spill System™; simply through replacing their conventional steel trays. In terms of fluid recuperation, Pemex saved $483,740 (USD) as the system displayed full capability when an unforeseen kick occurred. The Zero Spill System™ resulted in maximizing personnel safety, fluid recapture and capability to get the well back under control.

Based on these results, Pemex Exploration and Production issued a company-wide endorsement (one of very few to be issued to a Canadian company).

Independent Research

A second study conducted by Jacques Whitford Environment (February, 2004), measured from a qualitative perspective the environmental, health & safety (EH&S), as well as economic benefits of the Zero Spill System™. The findings revealed that the system scored extremely well in all three categories. With 100% being the maximum potential attainment, performance was rated as follows:

• Environmental Protection 99%• Health and Safety 98%• Economic Benefits 94%

Time Savings During Tripping Process

Our clients have reported up to a 3 minute savings per stand through using components of the Zero Spill System™; resulting in avoiding as much as 675 minutes in operational time or $7,030 (USD) per bit run (based on an average rig day rate of $15,000 (USD), 225 stands in the string and the south Texas well example used above).

Remediation & Reclamation Savings

Oil companies can spend anywhere between $60,000 and $80,000 to reclaim a site back to a functional status.

Through using Katch Kan™ systems to re-direct and contain fluids around the stack and substructure, accounting for about 10 percent of the total site, the operator can save as much as $8,000 on reclamation activity. Furthermore, when considering that most fluid contaminants will fall within this 10 percent region, savings for the operator is more than likely to increase substantially.
