Class 4 Galvanised Conduit TubeA range of high quality conduit tube for cable management, offering a high level of mechanical strength

Our steel conduit is suitable for use in demanding environments. It exceeds the maximum “very heavy” strengthclassification and can be easily formed on site.

Our conduit is hot dipped galvanised after manufacture to comply with Class 4, heavy protection inside and out. Galvanising is undertaken on a purpose made plant to ensure an even coating and employs a final superheated steam blast to ensure the bore is smooth and clear of defects which might damage cable installation.

Material Made from Grade Q195 Steel.

Manufacturing Process Tubes are roll formed, and electrical resistance welded.

Resistance against corrosion Hot dipped galvanised to BS EN 61386 Class 4 using a specialist superheated steam blast to ensure the bore is smooth and clear of defects that might damage cables during installation.

Resistance to compression Tested to very heavy grade - Classification 5.

Resistance to impact Tested to very heavy grade - Classification 5.

Tensile strength Tested to very heavy grade - Classification 5.

Standard BS 4568 -1 Steel Conduit and fittings with metric threads

Standard BS EN 61386 - 21 Conduit systems for cable management - requirements for rigid conduit systems

Storage Galvanised conduit should be stored in dry conditions to prevent wet storage stain. (Should this occur, it can easily be removed and is unlikely to affect resistance to corrosion)
