We see design as continuity.

When the design of a product is a success, it is the

continuity of shape, function and use, that forms the

success. Elements such as Interface, interaction, user-

friendliness, ease of production and market share are as

important parameters to a designs’ success as colour,

shape and material.

The making of good design is not an exact science; it

is a complex and demanding process. It is this process

that we find interesting, from which we each day grow

a little wiser and even more curious about the world of

product design.

The Lounge Chair combines both crafts-

manship and values from the traditional

skills of Danish design, as well as build-

ing a bridge to a more modern way of

production. This gives the chair its own

sense of style and character.

BARLBY + CARLSSON 2008The Sheettable came about as a study

of how thin a mdf-board you could use

in production, without loosing the overall

strength in construction. The end re-

sult was a table where production was

completely optimized, had a minimum of

waste, a very low weight and a look of

simplicity and leightness.

The idea for the shape of the kitchen

faucet ORBIX, must be found in the water

supply line not visible.

Water travels from its source though

pipes and bends. These elements are

placed together and ORBIX has its

design.

Det Vertikale Lokomotiv, er en opgave som

illustrerer faget industrieldesigns spænn-

evide og forskellige dicipliner.

DVL viser hvordan man med fagets værk-

tøjer kan løse mere komplekse problem-

stillinger.

Em-

klods.

By using a material in new and different

way, you can gain both a constructive

improvement and a new heighten sense

of esthetic form. The LOUDSPEAKER is

built in plywood made from birch, with

individual groves, providing the cabinet

with the required strength. The individual

sections are glued together and appear

solid.

med to statiske formers indbyrdes forhold

og placering og hvordan dette kan ud-

nyttes formæssigt.

In this design, the focus has been on the

two different static shapes and how they

fit to each other and to use this in the

design.

komponenter.

In a world where new shapes and de-

When not being able to find a laptop with

a slightly more interesting shape and

form, we came up with the following de-

sign. We took into account the functions

and requirements of a computer and tried

to combine these in a new way.

The task of design, was a classical

study of form and function. The prod-

uct was improved by enabling the plug

to be turned 90degrees. The design of

everyday products has become more

significant in today’s market, and with this

socket we have improved the overall look,

as well as added more value in function.
