SAP has many different license types that can be assigned to users. Each one has a different pricing scheme.
When you retire or recycle an SAP user license, it frees up that license.
This can help avoid purchasing additional licenses in the future AND reduce the annual maintenance fees.

When you CHANGE an license type, based on the RULES ENGINE rules, then this can:
• Help assure the enterprise is in compliance with its contract requirements
• Potentially reduce annual maintenance costs which are 22% of the list price based on the license type
