MC-6 Path Forward

System integration effort to incorporate new harness

Test new configuration to prove the redesigned harness assembly

Modify current production contracts to incorporate new harness design

Page 9: Product Manager Clothing Individual Equipment Personnel Airdrop Overview APBI 2007 10 MAY 2007 The Soldier: America’s Most Deployed Combat System MAJ TJ

Page 9

T-11 Path Forward

Conduct Developmental Testing (DT) to prove system integration and reliability

Conduct Operational Testing (OT) to achieve required system reliability

Obtain approval for Full Rate Production

Award Full Rate Production Contracts

Page 13

Modified COTS

Advanced Ram Air Parachute System (ARAPS)– Use commercially available main parachutes and

container systems capable of meeting Aerial Infiltration requirements

ARAPS Requirements– Must provide for increased jumper exit weight (up to 450

lbs)– Operation altitude ranges from 3,500 ft to 25,000 ft MSL– Static Line and MFF deployable– Provide a lift to drag ratio of 3 to 1– Reduced opening shock at exit altitude– Improved flight characteristics and landings

Anticipate program initiation in FY08
