INFLATING YOUR PACKRAFT

Remove valve cap. Push valve stem down and turn 1/4 turn to

the left to the OPEN position.

While holding two bag handles on the inflation bag, shake

up and down to allow air inside of the bag. When filled with air, bring poles together and roll downwards to force air inside the packraft.

Insert inflation bag valve into main packraft valve and twist

clockwise to secure.

Remove inflation bag from valve quickly. Push valve stem

down and twist 1/4 turn clockwise to the CLOSED position. Confirm valve is in closed position by ensuring no air is coming out.

SEAT INSTALLATION

Insert inflation tube and fill the remainder of the raft by

blowing into the tube. Fill as much as you can, you will not overinflate by blowing into the tube. If using a pump, inflate to 1.3-1.5 PSI. Do not overfill.

Open the valve on your seat by twisting the valve counter-

clockwise (left) to open. Inflate the seat by mouth and close the valve by turning the nozzle clockwise (right).

Attach valve cap and twist clockwise to secure.

Insert seat into bottom of packraft. Push the seat toward

the back of the raft until the edge of the seat touches the back edge of the packraft.

* If the inflation tube is lost you can blow directly into the main Leafield D7 valve to finish inflating the packraft.

SEAT INSTALLATION

Thread 1” webbing strap that is attached to the seat through

the ladder lock on the back of the packraft. Tuck any additional loose webbing in between the seat and the back of the packraft.

Next, using the two 3/4” compression straps (straps

with metal d-rings) run the strap through the rear buckle on the back of the backband to the d-ring with ladder lock buckle on the back of the raft. Tighten the straps so the back band is elevated and held in place while in use.

For the Backband: Attach the 1.5” webbing (larger strap) to

the 1.5” ladder lock buckle at the mid-section of the raft. Attach both left and right side.

Adjust the backband so that the paddler’s feet brace

against the front of the packraft.3 54 6

ASSEMBLY OF SPRAYSKIRT

Connect the two ends of the tubing using male attachment

piece. Attach to packraft using two velcro attachments on spraydeck coaming.

Continue wrapping working your way around the cockpit.

Once attached, begin wrapping material and elastic cord over

and around the tubing.

Once 3/4 of the way around, push the tubing forward

to eliminate any wrinkles in the material.

ASSEMBLY OF SPRAYSKIRT

Continue until all of the material is wrapped over the

tubing where only the coaming material is showing.

Tuck in the back portion of the sprayskirt underneath the back

lip of the coaming. Wrap sprayskirt material underneath the lip of the coaming.

Place arms and head through the three holes in

the sprayskirt. Adjust straps as necessary.

Continue wrapping the sprayskirt material underneath

the lip until the sprayskirt is attached.

STORING YOUR PACKRAFT

Remove all main valves and deflate fully. Always prepare

for storage on a tarp or other protected clean surface.

Fold in half length wise.1 2 Fold in half again, this time width wise. Ensure that the

valve openings are at the same end.

Begin rolling the packraft from the middle forcing the air

towards the valve openings.3 4

STORING YOUR PACKRAFT TIZIP USE & MAINTENANCE

Wrap compression straps around your raft. Insert the

end through both metal clips, fold back over the first clip and return through the second clip.

Secure firmly without over tightening or pinching material

in the metal clips. Always transport in a protective bag.

To open the Tizip, grasp the end of the packraft with one

hand. Firmly pull (without jerking) until the zipper opens. The zipper is very hard to open but you will not damage by pulling firmly.

Apply Tizip lube to the zipper upon first opening and re-

apply after every trip when the Tizip is used. If the zipper does not seal, blow out sand and debris, rinse with water and re-zip until the zipper fully seals.

THIGH STRAP INSTALLATION

Attach long strap with padded portion of the strap toward

the back of the packraft. Attach metal clips at both ends of strap to the d-rings on the side tube of the packraft.

Attach short webbing strap to the webbing loop that is

attached to the same d-ring plate as the 1.5” ladder lock.

1 2 Attach the second end of the webbing strap to one of the

three loops positioned near the middle of the padded leg strap.

Adjust straps as necessary to secure your leg. To remove

thigh straps when in use, straighten leg at the knee to release the straps.

FIELD REPAIR

Deflate raft completely. Clean and dry off the affected area.

Recommend using rubbing alcohol or alcohol wipe if possible.

Apply the sticker by holding the backing in order to avoid

touching the patch with your hands.

Peel the patch from the adhesive backing.

Scrape a coin or credit card over the patch until there are

no air bubbles. Let dry for 20-30 minutes. The patch will fully cure after 24 hours.

This Return Policy only applies if the product has never been used. Any product returned that is deemed to have been used will result in forfeiture of 50% of the total refund price.

B. LIMITED WARRANTY The warranty obligations of Kokopelli Packraft for this product are limited to the terms set forth below.

What is Covered - This limited warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship of all packrafts sold by Kokopelli Packraft.

What is Not Covered - This limited warranty does not cover any damage, deterioration or malfunction resulting from any alteration, modification, improper or unreasonable use or maintenance, misuse, abuse, accident, neglect, fire, improper packing, or other acts of nature.

WARRANTY & GUARANTEEproduct is returned to Kokopelli Packraft or the authorized dealer from which it was purchased, this product must be insured during shipment, with the insurance and shipping charges prepaid by the Buyer. If this product is returned uninsured, the Buyer assume all risks of loss or damage during shipment.

How to Obtain a Remedy Under This Limited Warranty - To obtain a remedy under this limited warranty, you must contact either the authorized Kokopelli Packraft reseller from whom you purchased this product or by emailing Kokopelli Packraft directly. For a list of authorized Kokopelli Packraft resellers, visit the Retailer page on our website.

In order to pursue any remedy under this limited warranty, you must possess an original, dated receipt as proof of purchase from an authorized Kokopelli Packraft reseller or proof of purchase from Kokopelli Packraft’s online store.

LIMITATION ON LIABILITY

The maximum liability of Kokopelli Packraft under this limited warranty shall not exceed the actual purchase price paid for the product less any discounts. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kokopelli Packraft is not responsible for direct, special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory.

How Long Does this Coverage Last - This limited warranty lasts for three (3) years from the date of original purchase of this product. However, the Tizip cargo storage has a one (1) year warranty.

Who is Covered - Only the original purchaser of this product is covered under this limited warranty. This limited warranty is not transferable to subsequent purchasers or owners of this product.

What Kokopelli Packraft Will Do - Kokopelli Packraft will, at its sole discretion, provide one of the following three remedies to whatever extent it shall deem necessary to satisfy a proper claim under this limited warranty:

1. Elect to repair or facilitate the repair of any defective parts within a reasonable period of time, free of any charge for the necessary materials and labor to complete the repair and restore the product to its proper operating condition. Kokopelli Packraft will also pay the shipping costs necessary to return this product once the repair is complete.

2. Replace the product with a direct replacement or with a similar product deemed by Kokopelli Packraft to perform at or above the same function as the original product.

3. Issue a refund of the original purchase price less any discounts given.

What Kokopelli Packraft Will Not Do Under This Limited Warranty - If this

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS TIPS & TRICKS• Never use packrafts in water above their rated level.

Do not exceed your paddling ability.

• Always paddle with a partner.

• Always scout unfamiliar water and portage when necessary.

• Always wear proper safety equipment including a PFD, helmet, river shoes, and proper paddling gear.

• Never paddle in flood conditions.

• Never paddle under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

• Be aware of appropriate water levels, tidal changes, dangerous currents, and changing weather.

• Obtain certified first aid training and carry first aid and rescue/safety equipment.

• Proper air pressure is 1.3-1.5 PSI. Do not exceed 1.5 PSI.

• Always let some air out of your packraft after removing from water for extended periods of time. The sun’s heat will cause the air to expand. The higher air pressure can cause damage to the valve and potentially pop the packraft.

• Always roll up you packraft on a tarp or other material to prevent sand or small rocks from being rolled up with the raft.

• Store in protective dry bag or other type bag if transporting on the outside of your backpack.

• Always travel with a patch kit. Instructions on use can be found on our website at kokopellipackraft.com

• Store unrolled in a dry location out of the sun. Make sure to properly clean and dry prior to storage

• After fully inflating your raft, cold shock your packraft by placing it in the water and splashing cold water over the tubes. Add additional air as the air inside the raft condenses. Add additional air as necessary throughout your paddle (or if the ambient temperature drops) as the air inside the packraft condenses as it is cooled.
