Q. 2 why have this product selected?

Ans. The top mobile brands in India are Nokia, Samsung, Sony Ericson and LG etc. These brands are popular world wide and have penetrated the Indian market big time. Be it the high end elite businessman or the simple college kid these brands cater to all classes and masses. Whether it is for the technically advanced or the simple user friendly handset for the technically challenged these top mobile brands offer a wireless device for and all. According to a recent survey conducted by 'VoiceAndData " the top Mobile Brands in India were ranked as follows;

1. Samsung

2. LG

3. Micromax

4. Spice

5. Karbonn

Till a few years back the wireless and cellular phones market in India was dominated by brands like Nokia and Motorola only but today a host of other companies have come up with equally good handsets that offer almost the same features. Ranging from low-end to high-end devices the mobile phone market in India today offers a handset for almost every hand. This is mostly due to the influx of numerous local brands that with the aim of catering solely to the lower middle classes have come up with an array of cheap handsets meant to cater to different needs of Indian mobile users. Some of the latest local brands that have entered the mobile manufacturing industry in India are;Q. 3 what permission and license would be required to make product?Ans. Licensing means renting or leasing of an intangible asset. Examples of intangible assets include a song (Somewhere Over The Rainbow), a character (Donald Duck), a name (Michael Jordan) or a brand (The Ritz-Carlton). An arrangement to license a brand requires a licensing agreement. A licensing agreement authorizes a company which markets a product or service (a licensee) to lease or rent a brand from a brand owner who operates a licensing program (a licensor). A company may choose to license its brand(s) when they believe there is strong consumer acceptance for brand extensions or products. For example, when Apple launched the iPod there was an immediate need for accessories such as headphones, charging and syncing stations and carrying cases. Apple decided not to manufacture these products and instead chose to have a licensee make the products. By doing so, Apple could offer branded Earbud Headphones, iPod docking stations and iPod socks. Each is made by a separate company but together offer the consumer an elegant solution. All of these accessories are sold by licenses.

Apart from benefits to licensors, there are benefits to licensees as well. Licensees lease the rights to a brand for incorporation into their merchandise, but do not share ownership in it. Having access to major national and global brands, and the logos and trademarks associated with those brands, gives the licensee significant benefits. The most important of these is the marketing power the brand brings to the licensees products. When brand managers enter or extend into new product categories via licensing they create an opportunity for a licensee to grow their company. For example, Crest several years ago extended its brand from toothpaste into whitening (Crest Whitestrips). Below is an example of the licensed product process steps:

Licensor chooses the product categories to be licensed

Licensor finds and negotiates a license with the best licensees

Licensees develop concepts, prototypes and final production samples and submit for approval

Licensor approves licensed products for sale

Licensees sell licensed products to authorized retailers

Licensees expect that the license will provide them with sales growth. This sales growth may be in the form of growth within existing market or the opportunity to enter a new market. To achieve this, licensees expect that the brand they are licensing has significant brand preference, that it will open doors and ultimately help them meet or exceed their business objectives. The licensing contract forces the licensee to achieve certain sales targets and royalties; therefore, the goal of the licensee is to quickly meet their business objectives, thereby achieving their contract obligations. Royalties are the monies paid to a licensor by the licensee for the right to use the licensed property. It is calculated by multiplying the Royalty Rate by the Net Sales.

The liberalisation of the Indian economy in 1992 brought a slew of international brands to India. Many of these brands have been licensed to Indian companies. Arvind Brands represent Wrangler, Arrow, Nautica, Jansport and Kipling. The Murjani Group is the licensee for FCUK and Tommy Hilfiger. Beverly Hills Polo Club (BHPC) is licensed to Spencers Retail. Extend Brands represent the No Rules brand in India.

Character Licensing is another big licensing segment of brand licensing in India. The big players in the character licensing industry in India are Walt Disney, Viacom, Extend Brands and Cartoon Network Enterprises. Characters licensed out by Walt Disney are evergreen children characters like Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck. Viacom has brought in popular characters from Nickelodeon like Dora The Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants. Extend Brands represents classic characters like Popeye the Sailorman, Betty Boop and Baby Popeye.

Q. 4 what are your competitors unique selling proposition?

Ans. A unique selling proposition (USP) defines your competitive advantage. Your must identify what makes you different from your competitors and emphasize these advantages in your marketing.

Differentiation Strategies

Creating a USPThe basis for your strong USP is your customer value proposition.

Have you created a new product or service? Ask yourself why. What customer value have you created? Was it to offer something radically new to the market, or to fulfill needs customers were voicing?

Creating Customer Value: 9 QuestionsMake a list of key features and unique benefits to the customers. Ask customers what they like best about your product, your services, or your company. Compare your offer to what your competitors offers. Brainstorm with your team to generate a choice of ideas that will give you the basis for writing a strong, specific and differentiated USP.

Surprise To Win: 3 StrategiesBuzz MarketingCommunicating a Specific Benefit to the CustomerAs many products are identical in offering the main benefit, you must identify the main advantage your product offers over the competition. In order to make your advertising message attractive, you must find an important benefit unique to your product or service in one of three ways.41. Product feature. This USP may be based on product features associated with the product, ranging from what it does to the quality of your support services.

2. Emotion. The USP may be based of an emotional appeal, such as love, humor, or fear.

3. Association. The USP may be communicated by association with a well-known personality.

Selling Is Problem SolvingCustomer Value PropositionToday, customers refuse to be anonymous. They continue to raise the level of their requirements, but their range extends beyond best price and best product. They want exactly the right selection of products or services that will help them get exactly the total solution they have in mind. Now, more than ever, customers hunger for superior results from the products or services they use. And customer intimacy gives it to them... MoreHow To Create Amazingly Seductive OffersAn irresistible offer is an "invitation" that is so clearly compelling, so powerful, and so obviously attractive that no one in his/her mind could refuse.

Ans. Consumer: Price discounts or price-off deals:Price deals are probably the most commonly used promotional techniques.

A price deal for a customer means a reduction in the price of the promoted product and the consumer saves money on purchase.

Retailer: This year we continue to take a methodical approach in deciding which brands to include on our list of brands that will disappear. The major criteria are:

1) a rapid fall-off in sales and steep losses;2) disclosures by the parent of the brand that it might go out of business;3) rapidly rising costs that are extremely unlikely to be recouped through higher prices;4) companies that are sold;5) companies that go into bankruptcy;6) companies that have lost the great majority of their customers; or7) operations with rapidly withering market share.

Whole Sealer: Professional experience reflects over 10 years of leadership and visionary capacities in complex, competitive and high manpower oriented industries like FMCG & Telecom. Currently I am redefining the distribution of SALON PROFESSIONAL range of products across India.

B) profit margin in percentageManufacturer: I talk about a "low" gross profit margin as about 20 percent or less. "Medium" is around 30 to 35 percent. "High" is 50 percent or more. This information, along with other metrics, are conveniently summarized in a "job aid" that I provide for you for free, in case you are interested. In the early days of the PC business (mid to late 1980s). this product had a gross profit margin in the medium range. Such is no longer the case. The PC's gross margin ranges in the mid to upper teens, with laptops having a slightly higher margin than desktops. Companies like Dell, whose revenue streams still depend heavily on PC sales must work very hard to keep their gross margins above 20 percent. The chart above shows Dell's corporate gross margin (which includes a mix of other products and services than the PC). You can see that after 3 or so tough years of gross margin below 20 percent, the company finally rose above this mark early last year. Given Dell's past struggles and its fairly recent recovery to levels above 20 percent, you can see why investors are very eager (some perhaps too eager) to learn about how well Dell is doing in keeping this margin as high as possible.

Whole SealerLooking at theearnings of a company often doesn't tell the entire story. Increased earnings are good, but an increase does not mean that the profit margin of a company is improving. For instance, if a company has costs that have increasedat a greater rate than sales, it leads to a lower profit margin. This is an indication that costs need to be under better control.

Imagine a company has a net income of $10 millionfrom sales of $100 million, givingit a profit margin of 10% ($10 million/$100 million). If in the next year net income risesto $15 millionon sales of $200 million, the company'sprofit margin would fall to7.5%. So while the company increasedits net income,it hasdone so with diminishing profit margins.

Retailers: Basic cellphones have generated most of Nokias sales, holding up much better than smartphones, where it has rapidly lost share to rivals like Samsung and Apple . With a profit margin of over 20 percent, these phones arestill the companys bread and butter even though consumers are increasingly switching over to smartphones.

Although they dont get as much attention as itssmartphones, mobile phones play a key part in Nokias future.Mobile phones account for the majority of Nokias revenue today and they are also vital for building loyalty with potential smartphone users in the future, said Ovum analyst Nick Dillon.

Nokia said on Tuesday it expects the Nokia Asha 308 and theNokia Asha 309 to retail for about $99, excluding taxes and subsidies, with deliveries to start in the fourth quarter of 2012.

Analysts have said offering phones around or under $100 iscrucial for the company if it wants to compete with cheaper smartphones using Googles Android software.

Nokia still sells almost 1 million basic phones a day but ithas reported operating losses of 3 billion euros ($3.9 billion) in the last 18 months, all while closing sites and cutting tens of thousands of jobs.Analysts say the new phones will buy it time but that itsnew Windows smartphones must succeed to secure its turnaround.

The new Asha devices are essential to defend Nokia from araft of low-cost Android alternatives, CCS Insight analyst Geoff Blaber said. The continued strength of the mobile phone business istestament to Nokias scale and distribution advantages.Defending that business is critical if Nokias smartphone business is to weather the storm.

The new phones use Nokias low-end Series 40 softwareplatform and hence most analysts do not count them as smartphones, even though Nokia itself sells them as smart devices in emerging markets.

The smartphone-feature phone distinction is largelyirrelevant in emerging markets. The Asha devices provide all the features most users need, including apps, web browsing and Facebook access, said Blaber.

Nokia has to use its low-end software for the new $100phones as Windows Phone requirements for hardware are too high for such cheap phones. Nokias cheapest Windows Phone retails for around $200.Shares in Nokia were up 1.8 percent at 2.14 euros, outperforming 0.5 percent rise in STOXX 600 European technology index.

Q. 12 Nokia mobile packaging?

Ans. The materials we choose for our packaging are selected to offer the best, most beautiful and most protective solution with least environmental impact. An effective way to reduce the environmental impact of packaging is through making the sales packages smaller, selecting sustainable materials and making sure packaging can be recycled when its no longer needed.

In line with Nokia Natural Resources Policywe want to ensure that all materials used in our products come from socially and environmentally responsible sources. For fiber based printing and packaging materials our aim is to use 100% certified renewable or recycled materials by 2015. We accept certifications by Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and / or The Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) with priority on the former. We also target to use at least 70% of recycled fibers on average across all packaging.

All our packages are 100% recyclable. More than 95% are made from renewable fiber based materials, of which 66 % is recycled. Each part is individually marked with ISO standard recycle markings in order to harmonize the experience for our customers. We do this on a global level, hoping that other companies will follow suit. To enable clean recycling, we dont combine plastic and paper materials into single component.

In 2011 we saw our first Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified packages with the Nokia N9 and Nokia Lumia 800. This is just the beginning of what we expect to see in coming years.

Small package makes a big differenceBetween 2005 and 2010, we reduced the packaging size of our most affordable devices by over 70%. This amounts to 240,000 tonnes of saved paper. Smaller and lighter packaging has also reduced transportation needs. In theory, we now only need one third of the trucks to transport these products.

Already in 2006 Nokia introduced small, compact packaging which consequently has become the industry standard for mobile phones. Our compact packages are made of a single material, which makes them much easier to recycle.

Where plastic is used, we include up to 90% recycled content. Were constantly working with suppliers to increase the amount of recycled material in our packaging.

Q. 13 Distribution channel Nokia mobile?

Ans. Distribution (or place) is one of marketing element in marketing mix and hence designing a distribution Network for a product is very important aspect for any companys product. The success of the channel design will be declared as the product is readily available at ease for the consumers. Here we as a group have chosen the Nokia mobile company for doing this assignment. The company established in 1865 having its foundation in Finland. Nokia is one of the leading mobile communications in the world, it has 9 manufacturing plants throughout the world and they have 130,000 employees. The company owns R&D centres in Japan and China. Nokia mobile company plays a major role in India and have huge market share In comparison to other players. They have started its process in India in 1995 and have their offices in major cities like New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, and Bangalore. And also they have targeting all class of people by releasing different kind of mobiles with different features. China started mobile services in 1988 whereas, India started mobile services in 1995. By 2001 India exceeded Chinas growth rate in mobile services. This shows how the distribution channels of the mobile companies working in India. Here in this report we are trying to bring out the efficient network of distribution addressed by Nokia in India.

Distribution Channel Structure

Nokia manufactures low budget mobile handsets, costing below RS. 3500 in Chennai manufacturing plant, located at Sriperumbudur, Chennai and then it transfers to Nokias mother depot which is located in Gurgaon. Other multimedia and smart phones of Nokia costing Rs 3500 & above are manufactured at other Nokia plants but the mobile handsets shipped to India are from two plants located at China, one at Beijing and the other at Dongguan. These Handsets are then shipped to the Nokias Q. 14 Warehousing Reason?

Ans. Many firmware updates have been released for the Nokia 6280 that fix many of the issues related to the original firmware. The original firmware has been known to drop out and crash without warning. There is also an issue related to the silent profile on the phone. The new firmware has fixed some of these issues as well as adding more complete ID3 functionality for the music player and stereo bluetooth capability. The newer firmware versions are similar to those of the Nokia 6288. Although the options to update the phone over the air OTA or by data cable are available in the phone, the phone can not be updated by either of these options. This is because of v3 firmware models, when using the PC software update (when the 6280 was listed) ended up being 'bricked' due to certain coding not being written into the phone. However, a later version of the phone is technically capable of it, however, the 6280 has been removed from the software update program. Software updates can be completed by taking the phone to a licensed Nokia repair centre (such as Carphone Warehouse in the UK). These can be done for free under warranty (even if the phone isn't faulty), but can be done out-of-warranty at a cost. The latest firmware version available from Carphone Warehouse UK is 6.43, however, higher versions may exist from Nokia directly. Q. 16 5 promotional ways?Ans. The promotional five ways given below. Ans. Transport or transportation is the movement of people, animals and goods from one location to another. Modes of transport include air, rail, road, water, cable, pipeline, and space. The field can be divided into infrastructure, vehicles, and operations. Transport is important since it enables trade between peoples, which in turn establishes civilizations.

Transport infrastructure consists of the fixed installations necessary for transport, and may be roads, railways, airways, waterways, canals and pipelines, and terminals such as airports, railway stations, bus stations, warehouses, trucking terminals, refueling depots (including fueling docks and fuel stations), and seaports. Terminals may be used both for interchange of passengers and cargo and for maintenance.

Vehicles traveling on these networks may include automobiles, bicycles, buses, trains, trucks, people, helicopters, and aircraft. Operations deal with the way the vehicles are operated, and the procedures set for this purpose including financing, legalities and policies. In the transport industry, operations and ownership of infrastructure can be either public or private, depending on the country and mode.

Passenger transport may be public, where operators provide scheduled services, or private. Freight transport has become focused on containerization, although bulk transport is used for large volumes of durable items. Transport plays an important part in economic growth and globalization, but most types cause air pollution and use large amounts of land. While it is heavily subsidized by governments, good planning of transport is essential to make traffic flow, and restrain urban sprawl.

Type Air

A fixed-wing aircraft, commonly called airplane, is a heavier-than-air craft where movement of the air in relation to the wings is used to generate lift. The term is used to distinguish from rotary-wing aircraft, where the movement of the lift surfaces relative to the air generates lift. A gyroplane is both fixed-wing and rotary-wing. Fixed-wing aircraft range from small trainers and recreational aircraft to large airliners and military cargo aircraft.

Two things necessary for aircraft are air flow over the wings for lift and an area for landing. The majority of aircraft also need an airport with the infrastructure to receive maintenance, restocking, refueling and for the loading and unloading of crew, cargo and passengers. While the vast majority of aircraft land and take off on land, some are capable of take off and landing on ice, snow and calm water.

The aircraft is the second fastest method of transport, after the rocket. Commercial jets can reach up to 955 kilometres per hour (593mph), single-engine aircraft 555 kilometres per hour (345mph). Aviation is able to quickly transport people and limited amounts of cargo over longer distances, but incur high costs and energy use; for short distances or in inaccessible places helicopters can be used.[1] As of April 28, 2009 The Guardian article notes that, "the WHO estimates that up to 500,000 people are on planes at any time."[Rail

Rail transport is where a train runs along a set of two parallel steel rails, known as a railway or railroad. The rails are anchored perpendicular to ties (or sleepers) of timber, concrete or steel, to maintain a consistent distance apart, or gauge. The rails and perpendicular beams are placed on a foundation made of concrete, or compressed earth and gravel in a bed of ballast. Alternative methods include monorail and maglev.

A train consists of one or more connected vehicles that run on the rails. Propulsion is commonly provided by a locomotive, that hauls a series of unpowered cars, that can carry passengers or freight. The locomotive can be powered by steam, diesel or by electricity supplied by trackside systems. Alternatively, some or all the cars can be powered, known as a multiple unit. Also, a train can be powered by horses, cables, gravity, pneumatics and gas turbines. Railed vehicles move with much less friction than rubber tires on paved roads, making trains more energy efficient, though not as efficient as ships.

Intercity trains are long-haul services connecting cities; modern high-speed rail is capable of speeds up to 350km/h (220mph), but this requires specially built track. Regional and commuter trains feed cities from suburbs and surrounding areas, while intra-urban transport is performed by high-capacity tramways and rapid transits, often making up the backbone of a city's public transport. Freight trains traditionally used box cars, requiring manual loading and unloading of the cargo. Since the 1960s, container trains have become the dominant solution for general freight, while large quantities of bulk are transported by dedicated trains

Road

A road is an identifiable route, way or path between two or more places. Roads are typically smoothed, paved, or otherwise prepared to allow easy travel; though they need not be, and historically many roads were simply recognizable routes without any formal construction or maintenance. In urban areas, roads may pass through a city or village and be named as streets, serving a dual function as urban space easement and route. The most common road vehicle is the automobile; a wheeled passenger vehicle that carries its own motor. Other users of roads include buses, trucks, motorcycles, bicycles and pedestrians. As of 2002, there were 590 million automobiles worldwide.

Automobiles offer high flexibility and with low capacity, but are deemed with high energy and area use, and the main source of noise and air pollution in cities; buses allow for more efficient travel at the cost of reduced flexibility. Road transport by truck is often the initial and final stage of freight transport.

Ans. Cost Effective Technique are follow by me. it is given below It's important to handle difficult customers professionally. Learning how to stay calm and how to stay cool under pressure can help you get through challenging situations with grace and professionalism.

If your client is especially angry, then talk slowly and calmly, and use a low tone of voice. This will subtly help lower the tension, and ensure that you don't escalate the situation by visibly getting stressed or upset yourself.

If your client has sent you a difficult email or they're angry with you over the phone, then offer to meet with him or her in person if you can to address the problem. This will not only diffuse anger (since it's harder for most people to get truly angry face to face) but it also shows that you genuinely want to address and fix the situation.

If you feel that your client is being unreasonable, you might start to get upset, especially if he or she is criticizing you, or your organization, unfairly. So learn anger management skills so that you can stay calm in these situations.

Occasionally a client or customer may become verbally abusive towards you or your team. Know in advance what you'll tolerate, and what you won't. If things escalate, you may need to be assertive and stand up for yourself, or even walk away from the situation to give the client time to cool down.

People in your team might be the ones on the "front line" when it comes to dealing with difficult customers. Make sure that they know how to engage correctly in emotional labor. (This means that they should know how to manage their own emotions when dealing with difficult people.)
