Backing up the setup data.

Make sure the PC-Driver is running. If the driver is running the Panoramic icon will be present in the notice area.

To backup the data, activate the service panel. Click the right key on the driver icon and select Config → PC Driver.

REPLACING THE MAINBOARD

Prerequisites for replacing the main board.

Before starting any replacement operation, make sure the following is available:• Calibration data backup (see instructions below).• Calibration kit (aluminium filter, test phantom and laser guide) to check for proper calibration after the replacement has

been made (see technical manual).• The latest version of PC-Driver (available for download on Extranet).

Press “Avanzato” (advanced) and enter password “cefla” on the driver setup panel.

Tap “Abilita mod. di servizio” (Enable service mod.) and “Salva” (Save) to enable the service panel.

Double click the Panoramic icon to go to the control panel. Click “Servizio” (Service) and press key “Backup”.

The following window for saving the data will appear. Save the file in a safe location known on the local computer. It is necessary to access this file after the board has been replaced. Make sure the folder in which the file is saved can be accessed later on. Do not use USB pen drives or other removable storage devices.

The figure below illustrates the position of the mainboard.

Loosen the screws shown in the figure and remove the cover.

Loosen the screws shown in the figure below and take off the side cover.

The mainboard can now be easily reached and replaced. Disconnect all the connections and remove the board by loosening the four screws shown in the figure.

Put in the new board and connect the connectors. The figure below points out which connections are used and which are not. Each cable has a tag that indicates the connector associated to the board.

Restoring the setup data.

Before restoring regular operation with the Panoramic unit the setup data saved before the board was replaced have to be uploaded. Double click the Panoramic icon to go to the control panel. Press “Ripristino” (restore) in the “Gestione dati di calibrazione” (setup data management) section.

Select the file previously saved and press “Apri” (Open).

At this point, turn off the device and then turn it back on. After restarting, the machine will be connected and ready for use.

Remember to disable the service panel before leaving the installation site. Click the Panoramic icon with the right key, select “Config” → ”PC Driver”. Press “Avanzato” (advanced), enter password “cefla”, deselect “Abilita mod. di servizio” (Enable service mod.) and press “Salva” (Save) and exit.

Aligning the serial numbers

In order to set the device back to “Ready”, it is necessary to align the serial numbers.Click the right key on the PC driver icon in the notice area and select Config → PC Driver.

Click “Avanzate” (advanced) and enter password “cefla” on the setup panel.

Select flag “Abilita mod. di servizio” (Enable service mod.) and press “Salva” (Save) to enable access to the service panel.

Double click the PC DRIVER icon in the notice area and then click “Numeri di serie” (serial numbers).

The panel containing the serial numbers will appear, enter the machine‘s serial number (708xxxxx) in text box ‚System‘ and press „OK“.

You will be asked if you want to save data in the device, click “Yes”.

Restart the device. The machine will be ready for use once the start up procedure has been completed.
